Just heard today that the Federal Court will be giving its decision on Nizar Jamaluddin's case against Zambri Kadir over the Perak tussle.
If the Federal Court decides in favour of Zambri the reaction from the Pakatan folks will be:
1. the judiciary is rigged
2. its a conspiracy
3. its an UMNO conspiracy
et.
Zambri will still remain the MB.
If Nizar wins then it will most probably be a State by election in Perak because Nizar will still not have the majority.
To keep harping that Nizar still has the majority because the three ADUNs have been suspended by the former Speaker Sivakumar will not be democratic at all.
(Err why did Sivakumar suspend them in the first place? How come no one has challenged Sivakumar in Court over their suspension. We all know how bad everyone felt when Gobind Singh was suspended from Parliament - for harping on an issue despite repeated warnings by the Speaker Pandikar)
Again if Nizar wins, it will be back to the polls. In such circumstances that would be the Constitutional solution available. Put it back to the people of Perak. Whoever wins then will rule.
The 31 frogs did not jump (maybe the incentives were just not "convincing" enough). The three, especially the most intriguing woman, may not offer themselves again.
Lets stick to the book. By the book.

GODbless to YM Nizar & his gang !
If Nizar wins, then the people of Perak will get the chance to choose again the party of their choice.
The Chinese will again vote for DAP to get 999 years leases for their lands, etc, etc.
The PAS Malays will again be voting for PAS, PKR or DAP as instructed by TGNA to be eligible for a place in Heaven in the Hereafter.
The UMNO Malays will vote for BN.
The outcome will be interesting!
May the wise one decide a fresh state election is in order to clear up all the mess. Let the people choose the MB once and for all.
May the wise one decide that a fresh state election is in order and clear up all the mess. Let the Perakians choose their MB.
Bro, I still feel the the people have to be consulted through fresh State elections.
We just settle the long standing issue through democratic process once and for all.
As long as the warring sides play games of this kind the people will suffer.
Let the people of Perak decides, and let them be accountable.
Snatching power through the 'frogs' have proven to be disastrous.
Anyway I can see Zambry trying hard and he is doing fairly well.
BUT the question is; whether he has done enough to bring back the state to BN rule with legitimacy.
Thanx bro.
Tuan Syed:
1.The biggest problem would be IF we let the re-election after of what going on most likely Pakatan would get a bigger majority from the Perakian.
2. Then it be back to square one...Pakatan would be ruling Perak.
3. So our decision to take over with the help of the FROGS on the first place is a bad decision to begin with anyway.
4. The same happening to Double Tracking Project and perhaps later on The Crooked Bridge. They all would get back to square on.
5. What that mean....like Nabil said.."Lu pikir lah sendiri".
6. We should avoid HALF COOKED decision at all cost. The new one coming this May...Fuel Prices....local and foreigner or rich and poor.
7. Whilst we are promoting 1Malaysian concurrently we are also promoting inequality...."Lu pikir lah sendiri".
Well catch up with you next time Tuan Syed. Keep on writing.
additional to if re-election :
Issue after
1) ghost voter
2) Post voter
3) rigged election
4) paid SPR
I guess every other people just couldn't satisfied with whatever outcome that may or may not align with their own interest.
In the end, rakyat rugi. Printer company untung besar. Dunia kotor sbb bahan-bahan kempen terbuang.
If the Federal Court rules in favour of Zambry, can you please ask them to provide the rational for their decision ?
In the original hearing at the High Court which was in favour of Nizar, the judge provided his written judgment very promptly, addressing various tenets of the Constitution which applied in his ruling.
The next day, Court of Appeal ruled in favour of Zambry in a couple of hours merely by disagreeing with the High Court judge's decision. Their eventual written judgement did not address how the High Court judge's ruling was wrong or flawed. They simply disagreed. (You don't need to spend years reading law just to disagree!)
At the Federal Court, I just hope that the 5 judges can provide the basis for their decision (whichever way they rule). I repeat - you don't need to spend years reading law just to disagree.
I believe that a no-confidence motion would have been the definitive methodology. Zambry's case lies in an interpretation of apparent power of the Sultan (despite Malaysian case law to the contrary & the Perak Consitution as well). And no less than Tun Dr M also raised concerns about this power of the Sultan, no doubt aware that it can also be turned against the BN at some point in time in the future.
If the Federal Court decides in favour of Zambry, it will undoubtedly create a new legal precedent and/or define that the legislature in Malaysia is not determined by the rakyat.
Say what you like. For as long as it is not in favour of the ruckus bearears, it ain't justice.
But funnily, when the former Premier 'intefered' with the judiciary, the ruckus bearers did not kick a fuss. Pak Lah released Anwar way before his time was up but nobody complained. Was that not 'judicial interference'?
We must now learn to live with inconstitencies as a way of life.
The PR policy is full of loopholes, designed to convienently suit simple minds. It is tailored to sow hatred, nothing else.
Unless the voters wake up to these cry wolves, this country is doomed.
A GOOD MAN DOES NOTHING.
