No Permit : Arrest Troublemakers

Deputy IGP: No permit to be issued for Bersih rally

KUALA LUMPUR: The police will not issue permits for the proposed rally next month by Bersih or any other group opposing it, said Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Khalid Abu Bakar.

He said police came to the decision as the gathering would not only disturb the peace but also cause traffic chaos.

"We have received a total of 418 police reports from business operators, travel agencies, and individuals protesting the rally which is supposed to be held in Kuala Lumpur on July 9," he told pressmen at the Police Academy in Cheras Wednesday.

Syabas to the Police. So the Bersih rally will be illegal. If Mat Sapu B.O. (Bilik 121) still causes chaos on July 9th, I really hope the Police will have the gumption to arrest him for attending an illegal gathering, disturbing the peace, being a public nuisance etc.

I am glad that 418 Police reports have already been made. Each time these dungus run amok in the streets, it affects our businesses. Even now, with all this publicity, people will be afraid to come out or go shopping on July 9th. The public suffers losses. These dungus don’t care. They are jobless or unemployed anyway.

If Ambiga Sreenivasan the former president of the Long Bar also steps out into the street, then I hope the Police will arrest her too. If they break the law, throw the book at them. Throw them in the lockup to cool their heels, along with the druggies and the other riff raff.

Mat Sapu B.O. (Bilik 121) and the Bersih dungus say they want free and fair elections. This is crap. Is Mat Sapu B.O. saying that the Opposition did not deserve to win five States in the last General Elections? Or that there was some trickery when the Opposition DAP swept through the Sarawak Elections most recently? Or that the Opposition has unfairly won in about eight (?) By Elections since 2008. If the elections are not free and fair, how did the Opposition do so well in all these elections?

Here is some advise for Ambiga Sreenivasan from YB Wee Choo Keong.

Go join a political party, Wee tells Ambiga

PETALING JAYA: Wangsa Maju MP Wee Choo Keong has dared Bersih 2.0 organiser Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan to join a political party to fight politically-motivated causes.

Wee said Malaysians fear possible chaos during the Bersih gathering scheduled for July 9 in Kuala Lumpur.

Despite concerns over public safety, Ambiga has insisted that the rally will still be held in the streets ..said Wee.

Ambiga please take note. July 9th is a Saturday. If you make a nuisance of yourself, and they arrest you on Saturday, you may not appear in front of a Magistrate until Monday morning. So please bring some spare clean underwear. Tell ammi to hold the Sunday iddly too. You will be having nasi bungkus out of a newspaper wrapper dear.

The Police do provide free toothbrush and Good Morning towel. That Liwat fellow left his DNA on the toothbrush, remember. Just hope they don’t give you a used toothbrush. Someone may have used it to scratch their @$$. Or worse.

They may throw you in with the druggies and the riff raff. When the corrupt Slumberjack (under whose tenure you received your Datoship and who used RM80,000 taxpayers' money to pay for your Bar Council dinner) had me charged for Sedition, they just walked me through the lockups at the Jalan Duta Mahkamah.

Take my word Ambiga, you dont want to spend even an hour with your annas in the lockup even when they are chained at the ankles and wrists. Go join the Obedient Wives / Obedient Girls Club or something. Just stay home and spend time with ammi on that day. It will be more eventful. Otherwise it could be more fateful.

No permit means theybwill be gathering illegally. They break the law, they must pay for. Our police must take firm action.

Damn Syed, I've never read a post full good advice, emotionally laced, coming from you.

How about Katak? trying to organize counter assembly, should be applicable to everybody, rite.

I suggest that the office of Yg DiPertuan Agong accords a special audience to Ambiga alone to enable her to handover BERSIH's memorandum to the palace.
If she considers herself an honourable professional, peace loving, befitting the position she holds in the society and a truly honest fellow Malaysian she woudn't dismiss this approach thoughtlessly.
She should consider this mode of approach and make a special request to the palace of her intention so that pandemonium or even a likely public disorder can be avoided.
Failing to ruminate the move as a virtous cause appropriate for all of us then she may be charged of subversion for throwing this country into chaos deliberately through an engineered subtlety.

I agree with you that those who tried to disrupt the harmony of the country should be thrown in the can especialy the 'kepala'

Haha.....way to go Tuan Syed. She may think its an egotrip, but the cow will never know whats hitting her once the riff raff start slobbering all over her.

Rocky,

Just to share with you some shocking story about a mega-project in South Johor that went down the drain. More to come?

CIMB puts Asia Petroleum Hub under receivership
The firm, mandated by govt to develop an oil terminal, was given RM1.4b loan

By S JAYASANKARAN
IN KUALA LUMPUR

ASIA Petroleum Hub (APH), a private company mandated by Kuala Lumpur to develop and operate a multibillion-dollar oil terminal in Johor (Iskandar Malaysia), has been placed under receivership by CIMB Bank.

This could bring a grim end to a development once billed as one of the world's largest fully integrated terminals with storage capacity of 924,000 cubic metres, large transhipment capacity and multiple jetties - all located on a 40 ha reclaimed island off the coast of Johor.

At full capacity it could generate up to US$20 billion in annual revenue, a senior APH official once told the press.

Financial executives familiar with the matter said that in 2006, APH was granted a RM1.4 billion (S$569 million) three-year bridge loan by CIMB.

Out of that amount, APH drew down RM840 million for project costs. Since then, however, the executives said that project costs had escalated and APH was looking for investors for a further RM2 billion in new financing.

Currently, APH is majority-controlled by KIC Oil and Gas, a private terminal operator, while a small (10 per cent) interest is held by Trek Perintis, a private company believed to be linked to the United Malays National Organisation (Umno), Malaysia's dominant political party which is presided over by Prime Minister Najib Razak.

Even so, there have always been problems with the shareholding structure. More than three years ago, the Cabinet decided that Seaport Terminal, a private company that owns and manages Johor's Port of Tanjong Pelepas close to the reclaimed island, should be allowed to take up 35 per cent in the project.

Seaport is controlled by Malaysian tycoon Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary. The tussle - between Seaport and KIB - over the project has been long-standing but the issue had never been resolved. Indeed, no shareholder agreement between the various parties has ever been inked.

In addition, the ownership of the island, reclaimed by Seaport using government funds, is also unclear. Although APH was allowed by the Ministry of Transport to have site possession, title to the island is still held by the federal government and has never been transferred to APH.

Besides the attendant messiness of some government-related projects, the episode also illustrates CIMB's hard-nosed attitude towards Malaysian business, even those with influence and connections. At other times, bankers might have been loath to come down on companies with political links.

CIMB is headed by Nazir Razak, an urbane banker who built up CIMB into Malaysia's second-largest lender in the space of seven years. Mr Nazir is also a younger brother of Prime Minister Najib.

What went wrong with APH isn't very clear, but the executives said that the firm had to do additional work on the island to shore up its foundations which escalated costs.

The executives said as at end-2010, APH's cumulative capital expenditure (including capitalised interest) amounted to slightly over RM1.4 billion. But they maintained that 64 per cent of the project's work had been completed and said they were mystified as to why CIMB had pulled the plug.

CIMB officials could not be immediately contacted for comment but people familiar with the bank said that it had given APH time to repay its debt but the firm could not come up with other investors to help fund the development.

About a month ago, CIMB placed the firm under a receiver, Malaysian accounting firm BBDO-Binder. The agency's head, Gan Ah Tee, declined comment to BT.

Looking at the leading players for the rally, it looks like it would be more a Bershit rather than a Bersih initiative.

These guys have lost their way. They've climbed many a mountain only to realise, on reaching each peak, it was the wrong mountain. Otherwise, how could they forsake the Negara Islam and Hudud blueprint after muddling through it for more than half-a-century?

Mat Sapu and Ambiga should wear the 'I'm Lost, Too' T-shirts.

Dey, first you complain so much about corruption, hanky panky, and what not in other post.

Then you ask for tough action on people who want to bring attention & action against these corruption and hanky panky.

What la you? Schizo or what? Too much MSG in your nasi kandar dei?

I never thought I'd say this, but the Bersih folks should be arrested under ISA should they defy the police and hold a street demonstration. They know very well that this could be very dangerous...akin to playing with fire, but they don't care!

Wee Choo keong is right...Ambiga should join a political party and realize that she's not fooling anyone by trying to portray that she's neutral..that she's not a politician.

It's odd to note that everyone is asking for the Bersih rally organizers blood.

As I recall no action was ever taken when pro BN goons hold illegal demo's.And there has been a lot of them lately.

The Bn gys who demo actually threaten violence but the police look on passively.

No action is to be taken on the Perkasa chap for suggesting a crusade on Christians.

The Bersih rally is calling on people to ask the Supreme Ruler to look into election irregularities. Now is this not some thing that we ALL Malaysians support?

Don't we all want a truly FREE and FAIR election here in Malaysia?

All the Police need to do is to regulate the traffic and ensure no AGENT PROVOCATEURS are present.

This can be a simple peaceful rally. Allow them to march and it will be over in an hour or two. The problem is that the police will as usual use force to disperse them and what for??

All truly democratic countries allow rallies. Sham democracies clamp down on public dissent.

So what is Malaysia a true democracy or a Sham one?

Arrest her as an organizer, even if she does not join the rally. Secondly, if it is an illegal assembly, all the trades and people who lost money because of this, cant they bring a court action? And since it is illegal, can the police also slap them with a bill for police presence.....I wonder

Anonymous said...

Just do what the dictators in mid east did - detain them, torture them or shoot them for being a nuisance. Better still follow the way of Thailand let the red shirts and anti-red shirts (read perkesa) fight it out on the street.

Anonymous said...

Syed

I would also like to suggest,

1. A law be pass that all demonstration be held in stadiums, then instead of disruption to business, spin-off in business will happen.

2. If the stadium option is not accepted, in all fairness, demonstration must be held in rotation, starting with, jalan Bukit-Bintang, followed by, Penang, Kota-Bharu and Shah-Alam or PJ or Sunway-Lagoon.

Apa macam mat-sapu & ambaga? ada berani...

Anonymous said...

beg to differ, i thot democracy allow free assembly to demonstrate peacefully.Having say that, however i do agree with you tat it can cause disruption,.. asians are more emotional

Mr Bojangles said...

Yes, ban them and lock them all up.

Make a law, quick, that anything bersih is to be outlawed.

Send all these trouble makers to Guantanamo.

Crack skulls if needed be.

Use all public paid weaponry, gas, batons against these ingrates.

After all democracy is only about having elections once in 5 years.

And Tanah Air has been resplendent on that score. A beacon of light amongst third world countries.

And these scum will be a dark blot on any glorious Malaysian morning.

Snatching food from the mouths of the hard working citizenry.

Syed, you are such a hypocrite. On the one hand, you advocate free speech. On the other, you are against a group just coming out to express their view. The parts about disrupting businesses is nonsense. I bet you support Perkasa's goons for a violent counter-demo.

Demonstrasi sebelum ni ade ke berlaku kacau bilau? Saya pun bukanlah penyokong mana2 parti tapi berdemontrasi itu hak sesiapa sahaja. PERKASA dan UMNO buat demonstrasi xde pun polis kacau.

Janganlah sebab kita tak suka kepada sesuatu kumpulan (PAS, PKR, Anwar Ibrahim dll.) tak bermakna kita boleh nafikan hak mereka utk bersuara. Dah la TV, newspaper berat sebelah (nasib baik ade internet).

Inilah salah satu permintaan BERSIH 2.0 iaitu mengenai undi pos.

Saya tak anggap PAKATAN RAKYAT sebagai pemilik kebenaran hakiki tapi saya nampak Barisan Nasional sedang gagal mentadbir-urus negara kita. Punca utama korupsi dan kronisme. Apa pun no. 1 ialah jatuhkan BN, soal hudud PAS, liwat Anwar Ibrahim dll. itu kita bincang kemudian.

The question is : can you respect my rights or not?

The short answer is NO you will not. You will not give a hoot about my rights.

Why? Refer my first line above.

if u want to demonstrate, go to the beach at Bagan Lalang or Morib or Port Dickson. Or go to Shah Alam behind the stadium. Hantu pun tak ada kat situ. Dont come and disturb my neighborhood.

Salam,

Normally I only read your blog, don't bother to comment but cannot tahan la when I see so many comments that use only half logic to argue their point.
First, who say you cannot voice out your opinion or berdemo at all ? Free speech? If Malaysia government not allowed free speech then kenapa idol anda Anwar boleh melalak sekeliling Malaysia giving so called ceramah and give false hope to people. Someone answer me please. Nak berdemo? You can apply permit, no problem. UMNO and PERKASA berdemo polis x kacau? Have you been to their demo? A lot of police / FRU standby nearby too and when police ask them to leave they follow the instruction. Same goes for PAS demo for issue on Palestin etc. It’s still illegal but police can compromise. The numbers were small and focus in one area, embassy or building. But if you talk about thousands of people on the street, then it is different case. How do you want to control them? You guys always blame on the police if something goes wrong during the demo. Police starts first laaa, provocation from police laa but let me remind you, in mass demo, only split of seconds can trigger a bloody and hectic demo. If a guy trip and bleeding during demo, someone saw and blame it on the police. Believe me, such silly incident alone can lead to a bad history for Malaysia. During demo people easily get emotional and don’t be too naïve by saying ‘Owh, kita orang nak berjalan secara aman untuk menyampaikan message’. Peace my ass, when we ask you to berdemo dalam STADIUM secara AMAN, tak nak pulak. Be it Perkasa or Bersih, police should arrest their leaders.

Newspaper and TVberat sebelah? Same stupid excuse from pembangkang. Utusan belongs to UMNO, so suka hati ‘mak bapak’ UMNO la nak tulis ape. We are in free country , you can choose what to read. Lately, have you read Suara Keadilan, Harakah and other opposition newspaper ? Same story everyday, ‘We are right and BN is wrong. Every single things/problem occurred, totally BN fault. Houlier than thou concept. If you said Utusan penyebar fitnah and tidak boleh dipercayai then the other side can say same thing for Suara Keadilan and Harakah. There’s always 2 side of story, that’s why god give us akal dan fikiran to find out the truth. Please don’t trust and percaya bulat2 cakap Anwar n co, okay? How about TV? Just remember one thing, they are just business operated company except for RTM of coz. They will easily change side depending on who’s running the country. Otherwise, can you imagine RTM promoting UMNO while PKR is in power? Or media prima placed Najib picture in their premise while Anwar running the country as PM and Lim Kit Siang as his advisor. Haha…..love to see that….

Last but not least, I always heard this statement ‘Let’s just give the country to PKR, let see their performance first’ or ‘ Jatuhkan BN dulu, liwat, siapa PM timbalan, xnak jadi PM ke kemudian’. Hello bro, Malaysia bukannya mainan, we are talking about a COUNTRY bukannya company or car that can be tested first. At least proof your point, performance and jgn syok sendiri. We already experienced it once from 2003 to 2008, dah cukup. Our country lost almost 5 years because of incompetent leader and you guys want to repeat it again? At least be a good opposition likes some country first before ask the people to hand over the country to you. Owh, one more thing, please proof you are innocent first, we don’t want our PM di-cop peliwat for the rest of his era!!

Both of them cause problems to KL business.

This time could have been used productively by spending it with your family, inculcating good values, making a living for those who are not so fortunate to hold a 5 day week job etc.

But noooo.....being ungrateful idiots that you are, you would rather waste your time demonstrating like monkeys.

So obviously, you fools are mentality screwed up.

When other countries are not so lucky as ours with civil unrest and natural calamities - you idiots forget that we are so blessed with such peace and try to create chaos.

And then you get these closet faggot internet/anonymous cowards who "baling batu sembunyi tangan" by encouraging such idiotic actions and chortle gleefully in the comfort of your armchair stuffing your face in like pigs watching the whole affair from the telly.

Yang working class sebok nak berdemo bila anak bini kat rumah tak cukup makan and yang bourgeois sebok mengapi sambil duduk atas kerusi empuk dengan lattenya.
