PETALING JAYA: Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin has come to the defence of Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil over the purchase of a RM10mil luxury condominium in Bangsar.

Khairy, who is Rembau MP, said the condo was bought for investment as the minister's family firm, National Meat and Livestocks Corporation (NMLC), found itself with surplus funds when the government could not develop satellite cattle farms.

It decided on real estate investment as a means to put the excess liquidity to work, said Khairy.

"The management made a decision that the best return on investment would have been from real estate," he said.

The Auditor-General's Report 2010 criticised the NFC, pointing out that it was now “in a mess”.

My Comment : I want to rear ducks in a pond. The project is called 'Ducks In A Pond." I only need RM50.0 million. These are very expensive ducks ok. They lay golden eggs. Anyway can the Government please give me a RM250.0 million Ringgit loan?

Here is what I will do. I will put only RM50.0 million into the ducks and the duck pond. The balance RM200.0 million ? Lets just take it as surplus cashflow. I dont need the extra RM200.0 million just yet. Shall I give it back to the Government?

Update : I think I have to explain this a little more. These folks do not understand business at all. You dont say you have surplus cash flow if your Ah Long lent you an extra RM100,000 that you dont know what to do with. That is NOT surplus cash flow. That is surplus hutang which you dont know what to do with (if you dont pay it back).
Surplus cash flow arises when your business is doing extremely well, you have paid all your debts, paid the salaries of your staff, dah bayar telefon, api, air etc and you have surplus cash left over - only then you can safely say you have surplus cash flow.
Meaning 'surplus cash' is left over cash from your succesful business operations - above and beyond your original cashflow projections (which your con-sultans would have prepared for you).
When you found out that you have actually borrowed more than you need, that is not surplus cashflow. That is simply called 'borrowing money that you dont need'. In such a situation, you just return (pay back) that extra money to the Lender.
Also when the loan was made by the Government, some Ketua Pengarah in the Ministry of Lembus who analysed the whole project and recommended it for approval MUST have based his analysis on a lembu project. The "Purpose of the Loan" - an important factor in lending money for projects - has changed. From lembus to buying condominiums.

-everybody has more or less this same kind of weakness. if should anybody got the praises and commendations for some good deeds they would without doubt feeling a kind of over the moon of happy and sometimes the satisfaction even more felt then getting an orgasm out of any sexual events. retards or no retards indeed could accept it quietly or boastfully but if anyone received condemnations and criticisms tantamount of getting a kind of mega paint of being unwillingly get a cactus shoved up one's ass, they certainly would be mad equal to tasmanian devil kind of mad.
-when survival is at stake, some of the good people no matter whom would crumble and joint the already over crowded pool of people that make a living out of sucking activity. so it has been that sucking objectives is to take out anything from something. if the menu of the day is milk and milk it was and if someone sucks strong and i mean super mega strong enough like a mutated leech, who knows if god permits oneself maybe got lucky and maybe any jizz coming out were in the forms of contracts and high paying positions.
-whatever projects for the benefit of the people are mostly welcomed. if sincerity was shown in the developments with billions of money being dished people of bolehland surely would notice, applause and support them. but bolehland is not a city state, there're also many other places all over that needed developments very long time ago. now it's seems that everything is for klang valley, the dap and pkr stonghold.
-in the past, present and not so rosy future bolehland has continuously developing in every area. but the costs have been always well beyond the actual. everything are inflated and these absolutely are wastage that could be prevented and bolehland should has been the one of greatest nations in the world by now.
-ministers are no angels, they are politicians and if they were the topic of any talk, factually the bad ass scumbag toyols among them were beating the good one by 9.5 to 0.5. and even the 0.5 who representing the good ones are midgets. passing businesses to family members have been their doing and it's of no secret since long long time ago. only lately they done it openly in a broad daylight. they got bald and balder because they are the highlanders of bolehland.
-if bolehland government awarded anybody with a soft loan amounting to hundred of millions at 2% to 2.5%. this fortune was really a god's answered pray. any mat, ah chong and muthu can make profits easily and only super f*cktard would ruin it. i think the whole bunch that are involved in this happy go lucky project are not rearing cattle for meats but instead are teaching the cows to speak men's language, dress them, house them in the super rich and famous condos, schooled them up for degrees and finally become the cabinet ministers in bolehland.

Our Auditor General seems to have bad faith in our system. Each and every year he continuously providing bullet to the opposition. Various scandals by various ministers seemed to have been exposed by him with disastrous result to the integrity of the ministries involved. Ng Yen yen, Azalina, Sharizat, Rafidah and the list continues. Only Hajah Jambol a.k.a fat lady of malaysia seems perfectly OK for him.

I find it a surprising for an Oxford graduate like you defending the purchase of the condo by Shahrizat Jalil’s family business, NFC using government funds. Let me, a University of Malaya graduate rebut your points.
First, the government fund for NFC is for ‘cow related’ business and NOT FOR buying fancy Bangsar condominium.
Shahrizat Jalil’s former constituency is Lembah Pantai which she lost to PKR, Nurul Izzah. Funny, considering the fancy condominium named One Menerung is within a stone throw from her former constituency which I think she will try to make a comeback come PRU13.
How convenient right, to purchase a unit of a fancy condominium at the heart of your own constituency..?
