While our knickers are all twisted over really foolish land deals, stealing money from the taxpayer, condo cows, to resign or not to resign, husband and wife making five Umrah trips in three months to cleanse their dosa, fighting over religion, arguing over tutup aurat issues, arguing over serbu gereja issues, arresting people for khalwat, pertahankan agama and other totally time wasting stuff here is what is going on in the rest of the world.
This is the futue. We may have a small part in this futue. Please see the video first.
Here could be a role for us (especially the Islamic countries) in this nano quadrocopters. The CIA or the Pentagon will put tiny GPS devices on these nano quadrocopters. (The Chinese will manufacture these for them at say RM25.00 each). Then they will fly these nanocopters to come and land on our bridges, our buildings, our tanks, our jet aircraft and even come and sit on our heads. Then from nowhere a missile can zoom-in to the tiny GPS devices and take us out completely.
They are moving up the technology curve. We are slipping and sliding the slope to the Club of Doom.

Ini macam mati lah, kita
If one does not export terrorism, war, hatred or crime (Nigerian con/Iranian mules/Colombian ATM robbers) etc., one does not have enemies. So, nothing to worry about!
tapi bang, kalau kita start investing our millions and billions on defence, people will start huuhaa here and there, wasting taxpayers money lah, with whom we are going to war lah... so camno???
kapai selam rosak siket, riuh sekampung, sampai satu dunia tau... camno nak gain tactical advantage?
Hahahahaha ....... we are screwed oledi Mr Syed . The western screw arab and arab screw us and we screw among ourselves...
What part can WE play in that future?? Are you kidding me? Well, the dumb Malays (read, many Muslims in Malaysia) will be totally sidelined from this cutting-edge technology, then get bombed out of existence.
Why? Because (1) They don't know English (if there's anyone out there who says you can't equate not knowing English with having lousy general knowledge or poor competitiveness, well... you're an idiot) (2) They know almost zero science and technology- because they shy away from the sciences and engineering ('sains susah lah Mak!'), and would rather do courses like Malay Studies (yeah, like we Malays got three thousand years worth of civilisation to study) and Islamic studies (which do not increase intelligence nor add to critical thinking prowess) (3) They don't read, or when they actually do, they read crap (mostly tabloids with titles like 'Janda Gian Simpan Gigolo' OR 'Toyol Makan Tuan' OR 'Wanita Kahwin Bunian Lahirkan Jin' (4) They don't watch science programmes or educational shows on TV- because they watch Malay dramas instead, with themes like the cliche love triangle OR good son grows up to be wealthy and then forgets his roots, turned arrogant, and neglects his mother blah blah blah... cue scene of the very nice mother (aren't they all? Has no one ever heard of bad mothers who abandon their babies, do drugs, scam people, go around being a real bitch? No?...) in white crying on the prayer mat and asking God to blah blah blah... (5) They are too busy talking or being involved in politics, instead of studying or doing business- because to succeed in politics you require zero intelligence and scruples (in fact, those very qualities actually disqualify you) but heaps of 'bodek' and sycophancy and rent-seeking to propel you towards that Porsche Cayenne Turbo that all Malay politicians aspire to own.
On the other hand, those very few Malays who ARE different from the ilk i've described above would be earning their living in Australia, US, UK, Hong Kong, etc. And their smart children will likely become citizens (or at least PRs) of those countries too, and they all contribute towards making those countries even more advanced and successful.
So, those lowly-educated Muslims/Malays remain and THEY are the ones who will get bombed, aided by those thingamajiks featured in Syed's video.
Thus, the fitter (smarter) people survive and the 'bengap' and useless ones get blown to bits. So, hey, its win-win for all! Yeay!!
Of course we are behind. This is because people like you all writing trash and people like me wasting my time reading all these crappy comments written by others who are also wasting their time :). Probably 90% of things mentioned in the blogs are hearsay or spins by people either covering their own asses or lies about others. Let's be intellectually honest with ourselves first.
perception very important in muslim world, they try to cover their misdeeds by trying to change ppl impression/perception, no wonder the indons call us hypocrites.
while we spend time arguing who is righteous, who can go heaven, the rest of the world spin to next technology level without us, we only know how to plead for technology transfer, how stupid.
anon 8.56am, hello! dont be self appointed righteous guru, u think cow condo scandal, snoop squad, arresting shia believers,nano- copters etc are spins, then u shld keep yr readership in mainstrean papers and dont waste yr time peeping blogs,..dont pretend to be an intellect and pass judgement on others.
Yes, i agree we are more interested in form than substance in almost everything! So, if these thingamajig bombers come abombin' the stupid-low-grade left-behind-melayus, then i who chose to come home, started an honest business employing 250+ hard working & honest melayus, will be collateral damage lah tu! God/Allah/Jesus/Kwan Yin/Ganesh/Buddha/Mighty Nibokanizer/Zeus dll in Power, pls help em. They are good people! Me? I will be heading north to LOS!
Syed,
You can't be faulted for worrying that Malaysia/Malaysians may fall behind the rest of the world.
But this is a hot, humid tropical country with the sun beating down on us every day without respite. Our brains are half-cooked already, so how to think and invent things? We are barely able to function on autopilot as it is.
one word: we are lost and lost in focus, nobody to blame but ourselves
Amazing! I just bumped into you blog, as I was searching for some data on UAVs. I currently am designing a transport system based on UAVs. I think the Malay Archipelago is probably the best place (since its an archipelago, duh!). The Philippines has 7,000 islands and Indonesia nearly 18,000 (!) and if you look at how these islands are placed, more like a bowl. Malaysia, the peninsula, looks like the handle of a ladle (with Singapore the working end pulak!). Its time to scoop the soup out...
Possibilities, possibilities!

Tn Syed,
I love the rantings of hisham as he echoes my sentiments... LOL!!!
