Who are more dangerous to the country - the Shia or the Christians ?
This is ridiculous - the ustaz feels like he is doing a favour by spreading his rubbish teaching to his listeners. I wonder how much did the masjid paid him to give this rubbish talk.
Likewise, the listeners feel like they are doing ibadah (or mitzvah, so the Jewish call it) by listening to his rubbish.
If I ever meet this Taliban guy anywhere in the street, I'll be the first to punch him in the face. That is mitzvah.

Actually I am among many who is very uncomfortable with the Wahabbis. Even tahlil pun kata haram. Who do they think they are? Unfortunately the Saudis are not doing anything about this.
My family used to practice having 'tahlils'. Now we are a bit more educated we have stopped doing it. We realized that 'Wahhabi' is a term of slander used by people with ulterior motives when they have no other content for their argument. I would like to offer two points:
1. We do not have to do exactly everything the Prophet (pbuh) did in his daily life. We don't have to ride a camel or wear a jubah. We can use computers and mobile phones which the Prophet (pbuh) did not use. However, the way in which we worship Allah must be done the way the Prophet (pbuh) taught us. Tahlil is a form of worship the Prophet (pbuh) never did. If we start doing things he never did, in time our grandchildren and great- grandchildren will stray very far. I invite you to look up 'dargha' worship which they do in India and Pakistan. They do this because they follow their nenek moyang. Bila orang larang sebab it is blatant shirik, they say 'who do they think they are?'.
2. If person who has died leaves behind a wife and young children and then the family are told they must have tahlil for the deceased which includes preparing food and 'duit sampul' for the ustaz, guess what? People who attend, eat the food and take the duit have taken harta anak yatim. That is not cool. Omputih practice is better where they bring casseroles for family of the deceased.
