T

Chaos and the Beginning of the END

By Lim Chee Wei
29 April 2012

An obituary is something that is not easy to right. One never knows what to say as consoling those that have lost a loved one is nearly always an exercise in futility. The violence and chaos rained down by thousands of bused in Opposition members led by Keadilan’s Deputy President Azmin Ali yesterday was the final nail in the coffin of the political life of his mentor, Anwar Ibrahim.
I am not a fortuneteller but the writing is clearly on the wall. This is the beginning of the end of the political career of Anwar Ibrahim which has spanned more than 40 years. What should have been the natural support base of Pakatan Rakyat marching in KL on Saturday now, more than ever, has begun to count the toll of damage Anwar has done to the argument that all rallies are peaceful.
The advent of a full democracy in Malaysia is not dependent on Ambiga’s unreasonable demands for the resignation of the entire Election Commission or the implementation of all reforms demanded before the next GE. Full democracy in Malaysia is dependent on the setting up of a sustainable and viable two-party system.

People seeing Anwar lose control and sending his storm troopers in to destroy everything in their way has led many peacefully marching to believe that for democracy to face the BN, Anwar has got to go.
The sheer desperation and willingness to cause the BN political damage at any costs, even causing damage and injury, shows that Anwar knows this GE is his LAST chance. It is the final salvo of one of the most divisive figures in Malaysia’s political history. Anwar will be 65 this year and waiting for the 14th election will see him just a shade under 70. This is his time, after GE13, it will be the time of the true leaders of Pakatan.

Younger leaders who don’t want their families to dominate their parties, who are not singularly driven by a desire for power to take revenge on Tun Mahathir etc. and leaders who don’t have the baggage that a former Deputy President of UMNO will always surely have.
It is sad to see an otherwise intelligent man blind to the fact that he will never be Prime Minister. The destructiveness he unleashed on Kuala Lumpur this weekend is the final act of desperation of a man hoping in vain that he has still got one final act to play. What he does not realize is that his audience has left and moved on to something, or someone, that far more closely resembles an ideal of leadership with which they want to spend time and watch.
Datuk Ambiga herself conceded that the Police acted after the political segments of the rally intimidated and attacked the Police. In her own attempt to salvage what has become an irreparable situation of chaos and violence, she naively asks the Government to think about why some people would act so extremely.

The motives of men smashing cars lies not in a desire for electoral reform. Rather, they were doing so because Anwar told them to do so.

He told them to do so because he knew that if they rained chaos on the streets, the Police would be forced to act. Only then would his friends in the foreign media be able to dedicate many minutes of coverage to chaos in yet another Muslim majority country.
Datuk Ambiga has to take some of the responsibility despite her attempts to ask the crowd to disperse before the trouble started. She herself repeatedly requested PAS and Keadilan to bulk up her numbers in the event that ordinary non-partisan Malaysians did not show up. It is as clear as day that Bersih has been entirely taken over by the Opposition. This could have been avoided if Datuk Ambiga never started on that slippery slope of sharing the Bersih stage with Anwar in particular.

I am Chinese and the first trait of my people is pragmatism which is why we felt that there needed to be a much stronger Opposition in 2008 given the wanton corruption and abuses of the BN then. Pakatan would do well not to take my pragmatism for granted for this way of thinking does not know political loyalties. Chaos and desperation are not pragmatic. For the first time since 2008, Anwar does not seem like a pragmatic choice for Prime Minister.
Democratic progress is NOT upturned cars on the streets and vigilante rowdies running riot in our cities. Democratic progress is the setting up of a true two party system. Pakatan needs a real leader who believes in the ideals of democracy and has NEVER practiced otherwise. With this, I hereby write the beginning of the end of Anwar Ibrahim’s political career on 28 April 2012.

p.s. The foreign media were among the most frustrated by the outcome of Bersih 3, I think. They wanted to see violence against the people. They wanted Tahrih Square and Tianeman. They were hoping for police brutality (read here, Aljazeera's reporter reading from a prepared script) They did not expect images and footages like these:

YAB PM - Hold Off The Minimum Wage

Tomorrow is Labour Day. The PM said he will announce the Minimum Wage tomorrow.

I hope it is not too late to remind the PM - please hold off the announcement and the implementation of any minimum wage policies.  There is no harm postponing it six months or 12 months. More study and discussion is needed.

Many relevant groups have not been properly consulted especially the employers and the chambers of commerce. The Chinese Chamber (undoubtedly the largest providers of employment in the country), the international chambers of commerce, the American chamber of commerce, the Japanese investors all have their views about Minimum Wage.

The Government has not listened well to everyone on this Minimum Wage issue. Just like the PPSMI as well - where the Government never spoke to the parents and the teachers involved.

No one is rioting in the streets demanding for minimum wages.  Minimum wages are going to anegatively affect many small bumiputra businesses. Yes the bumiputra enterprise is still largely warong type, mini markets and small enterprises. If you impose Minimum Wages, you are going to kill too many of these businesses.

If Minimum Wages are to be based on geographical location - across the Klang River higher or lower wages and such, it is going to cause more chaos. Jobs and businesses will migrate to the lower minimum wage area.

The cost of living is going up. The figure by Bank Negara that the CPI is aroun 3% is grossly inaccurate. With Minimum Wages imposed, the CPI will jump even more.

Eventually whatever is gained by implementing Minimum Wages will be lost again through inflation and higher prices. The consumer will be back to square one.

If the Gomen is going to impose Minimum Wages immediately, please have the General Elections asap, because if you impose minimum wages, there will be some chaos and turbulence in the economy within months.  Dont say I did not warn you.

Tariq Ramadan And The Quran

Folks,  this is another reason why I keep saying that the Muslims are in very very deep trouble.  Not only does the average everyday Muslim NOT know what is inside the Quran  but the so called Muslim scholars (nauzubillah - May Allah protect us) - do not seem to know what is in the Quran as well.

This is a video of the contemporary Muslim scholar (nauzubillah) Tariq Ramadan.  This is a video of some interview with him. You dont have to listen to the whole video (unless you are some kind of masochist who loves pain) but you can drag your curser to the 30th minute of this You Tube.

Between the 30th and 32nd minutes Tariq Ramadan says - quite matter of factly -  without batting an eyelid that the Quran prescribes the punishment of stoning the adulterers as well as the punishment of death for the apostate.

This is a terrible fitnah against the Quran because there are no such verses found anywhere in the Quran.

The Quran does not call for the stoning of adulterers to death. Neither does the Quran prescribe any kind of punishment for the apostate. There are no such things in the Quran.

Here is a test anyone of you can do.

The next time you meet any religious fellwo, especially the jual air jampi, sekolah pondok type fellows, just ask them how many surahs (chapters) there are in the Quran. They will not even know these basics.

But can we blame them? When even "world renowned" scholars (nauzubillah) like Tariq Ramadan do not know what is and what is not in the Quran ?

For your information, Tariq Ramadan's book used to be required reading among Muslim students in some universities (when 'you know who' was almost in full power). Yes, Liwat is a fan of Tariq Ramadan.

He once publicly recommended that Dr Mahathir should read Tariq Ramadan's book - a wafer thin paper back book with a basic introduction to Islam which sold for RM7/= at the bookshops.

That itself gives you an idea of Liwat's knowledge of Islam. He reads wafer thin paperbacks written by "scholars" (nauzubillah) who dont even know what is in the Quran.

Mat Salleh's Abandoning Ship

Here is a video where you can see the homo sapien signalling to an Indian fellow who then proceeds to remove the barriers. There is no tear gas. Do you see any tear gas. The homo sapien is smiling and gesturing. The sun is shining, The birds are singing.  No provocation by the Police. In fact no Police in sight.

That was the problem - it was too peaceful. Peaceful is not good. They wanted chaos. So they created chaos. You can see for yourself the crowd shouting and whooping like monkeys once they pushed aside the barricades.

Anyway folks, I was having tea with an ex-Liwat supporter yesterday. Local guy, Malaysian with interesting overseas contacts.  This is a picture of Ebrahim Rasool - the present South African ambassador to Washington.  This man in the picture used to be a very close friend of Liwat as well.

But recently it has transpired that he has developed some allergies towards Liwat.  The talk among the South African brotherhood connection is 'stay away from Liwat'.  Yup - his old buddies are at last wisening up to Liwat.  The South Africans even said that some of them knew about Liwat's activities and advised him to turn over a new leaf. Instead Liwat just asked the leaf to turn over.

You may think this is not relevant. Well, on the contrary. There used to be a large number of the religious freaks outside the country (the so called international Islamic network) who were also conned into thinking that Liwat was an angel. Now they know the real devils from the angels.  This international Islamic network which used to support Liwat overseas is now dwindling very fast.  That is why they are getting more desperate. We are going to see even more riots. Desperate people will do desperate things.

And there is more. Recently Liwat has also become persona non grata in more than one Western Embassy here in KL, especially with one very "busy body" Western Embassy. The ambassador (not High Commisioner) of that country here in KL does not include Liwat on their invitation list at all. Not only that, in their programs and events, specific instructions have been given to not even invite Liwat's supporters any more.  I got this from someone who works with these embassies.

Here is one more bit.  Folks in the know say that this time around there were many Indonesians hired to get involved in the riots on Saturday.  I think that is where the smashing Police cars, Police motorbikes and smashing public property came into play. This is Indonesian style street rioting - sudah berjangkit.  But who are these Indons and how were they roped in?

First, read this news from The Star :

"In KOTA BARU, PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat admitted to giving a personal contribution to some of the people who took part in Saturday's rally.  Nik Aziz, who did not take part in the assembly, described his contribution as “a personal gesture”, Bernama reported him as saying."
So Nik Aziz paid money. Takkan Hadi Awang did not pay money. What about Liwat? There is nothing new here except in the amount of money paid. Bernama spoke to some PAS people from Kedah who said this time around they were paid more money ie RM150.00 each. If the monkeys dont get paid, they wont come.  And they could only muster 20,000 people??

The day started with the Liwat supporters saying one million people had gathered in KL. Malaysiakini said 300,000. Then someone said 75,000. The British Broadcasting Corporation reported 25,000.  Our guys said anything between 15,000 to 20,000. The undercover cops were easily about 5000. Did you know that the Swiss something Hotel nearby was fully occupied by the undercover folks  :)  All those rioters running in the correct directions, away from the Dataran were possibly undercover guys.  They have to be smart to control the crowd.

And minus the hired Indons the actual number of rioters was actually much less. Their efforts to rally their own supporters is failing.  Must pay them more money.  Back to the rioting Indons, here is a strange news report from a few days ago from The Star as well :

Indonesian Foreign Ministry: Dead Indonesians' organs not removed (Update)

PETALING JAYA: A second autopsy carried out on three Indonesian men who were shot dead by Malaysian police last month showed no evidence of their organs being harvested, Indonesia's Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa said.

He told a press conference in Jakarta on Friday that the autopsies were carried out by a forensics team from the Indonesian police and Mataram University medical faculty on Thursday.

The autopsy reports showed that the organs of the three men were still intact, he said.

The Indonesian media has been reporting allegations from families of the three men about "unusual stitches around the eyes and cuts on the chest and abdomen of the men."

The three, who were armed with machetes, were shot dead at a housing area near Port Dickson on Mar 24.

Their bodies, which arrived in Indonesia on April 5 and were buried, were exhumed to enable the second autopsy to be carried out at Bhayangkara Hospital in Lombok.

A strange story had been circulated (coincidentally just a few days before Bersih 3.0) among the Indonesian community that organs had been forcibly harvested from some Indonesian criminals who had been shot dead by the Malaysian Police.  The story created a stir and was played up by the Indonesian media.  Then immediately after the Bersih this silly story died just as suddenly.

The person who gave me this information and made the conection (another someone who was very close to Liwat at one time) said that this  "harvesting Indon body parts"  story was a false flag designed to get Indons into the riot on Saturday. I hope the Police will explore this bit of news as well. Nothing is impossible for Liwat. These are desperate times for them.  Lets be on the lookout folks.  They will do even more desperate things.

There is also the story about the pilgrim from Malabar who was on umrah in Mecca and what he said about Liwat to another very famous Dato from Malaysia. But maybe another time.

UMNO Penang, Selangor Makan Roti Teloq Tak?

I want to send this message to UMNO Pulau Pinang and UMNO Selangor. I dont know about Selangor UMNO too much but I hope the Penang boys will wake up.

What happened yesterday in Kuala Lumpur has nothing to do with "freedom of speech", "freedom of assembly" and other crap. These are just their satanic lies. What they really set out to do and what they have achieved is to create chaos and havoc. They even broke the roller shutters at the LRT station.  You can see the picture here.

Why would they want to break the roller shutters at the LRT station? Lim Guan Eng and Lim Kit Siang  are the two satans who succesfully manipulated some of the bebudak bodoh bangang  to run riot in the Federal capital. And Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng are not worried because they are creating havoc around the kawasan perniagaan orang Islam dan orang Melayu in Kuala Lumpur.  There are fewer Chinese businesses operating around this area.

(Dont worry, maybe the next peaceful assembly by the UMNO boys will be held around Mid Valley Mega Mall, Jalan Bukit Bintang, One Utama, Subang Parade and other such places. Lets spread the goodwill around a little shall we? I am sure the forces of "peaceful assembly" wont mind too much).

OK. Elok lah kalau macam itu.  Very good. If that is what you want, fine.

So I want to suggest to UMNO Pulau Pinang to also start a series of "peaceful assemblies" in Penang but in a much better and more peace loving fashion.  UMNO Pulau Pinang will not even need a Police Permit. Ini idea yang bagus ni, dengar baik-baik ok.

Every day, for 30 days, UMNO Penang should create "peaceful assemblies" at the Simpang Lima Craven 'A' Restuarnat in Pulau Pinang, berhampiran dengan pejabat Lim Guan Eng di Komtar.   This is the biggest and busiest road junction in the middle of Penang City.  It is the junction of Penang Road, Dato Keramat Road, Macalester Road, Magazine Road and Gurdwara Street. You can Google Map 'Craven 'A' Restaurant, Penang.

Isnt this a genius idea?

So everyday between 12 - 2 pm just gather about 5000 people at all these Nasi Kandar restaurants at the Simpang Lima, hold up some "peaceful assembly" banners, park your cars and motorbikes "peacefully" along the road, and wave your banners peacefully  at people.  After that you can march peacefully (it is your right ok) to the cendol shop just about 100 metres away near Chowrasta Market. Have your bowl of cendol and then you can disperse from there.

Tak payah Police Permit pun.  This will not be breaking the Law.

If you want to go early, maybe you can "mula berkumpul" at 11 am. You can also hang around until tea time say up to 4 pm.  For maximum effect, to educate Lim Guan Eng properly about 'peaceful assemblies' you can do this for 30 days, or until Lim Guan Eng apologies for the riot he has caused in Kuala Lumpur, whichever is earlier.

Macam ni saja lah bro, takkan depa saja boleh buat demo "peaceful assembly"? Kita pula jadi dungu saja? Kita pun patut buat "peaceful assembly". Takkan depa saja boleh ada 'freedom of speech'. Freedom of speech kita pula pi mana?

So may I suggest to UMNO Pulau Pinang to start organisisng some "peaceful assemblies" in Penang during the peak hours. If you gather at all the restoran nasi kandar near Craven 'A' at Simpang Lima that would be the best location in Penang.

If it causes massive traffic jams in Penang (Macalester Road, Penang Road, Magazine Road, Burma Road, Dato Keramat Road) and causes the shops to close or businesses to suffer that is ok.

Just tell all the businesses and traders in Penang that it is a small price to pay. They should not just think of making money and profits only. Or worry about paying rentals, paying workers salaries and stuff. Dont be so money minded lah.

If they have to close their shops, if the people of Penang have to suffer traffic jams its ok. Its a very small price to pay. Its "freedom of assembly" mah. Also "freedom of speech". I am sure Lim Guan Eng and his supporters will understand.  After all, the majority of Penang people now support the DAP.  So I am sure they will understand.

So I hope UMNO Pulau Pinang will wake up and start organising some "peaceful assemblies" in Penang as well. Bukan lama pun. 30 hari saja, time nya pukul 12 pm hingga 2 pm saja, setiap hari selama 30 hari. Lunch time.

Kalau nak buat di Jambatan Pulau Pinang lagi bagus. That is another good place for "peaceful assemblies" and "freedom of speech". Imagine  "peaceful assemblies" on the Penang Bridge from 12pm - 2 pm everyday for 30 days!!

Penang may come to a standstill but so what? It is a small price to pay. It is "peacefrul assembly" time. Tapi kalau nak 'peaceful assembly' di Jambatan Pulau Pinang, kena mohon Permit Polis dulu. Please do apply for the Police Permit.

Kalau Polis tak kasi permit, hmmm..ikut saja cara Pakatan Rakyat.  If the Police do not give you permits, then follow exactly what the Pakatan Rakyat fellows did yesterday.  Its ok. As long as it is "peaceful assembly" and "freedom of speech".

Kalau depa boleh buat, pasal apa pula orang lain tak boleh ikut contoh depa?

"Hentam Dia" - Pakatan Supporters Attack Police

Peaceful Rioting

Well, this is them. This is what they are good at. Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng, I get this feeling that you will pay for this.  This is quite different from pissing on the flagpole at the Menteri Besar's house..

Today our businesses are shut again. For the past two weeks, ever since the camping at Dataran Merdeka began the businesses in our area have suffered badly.

Maybe to even things out, someone should demonstrate at Mid Valley Mega Mall, Jalan Bukit Bintang or at  One Utama, The Curve and other such places. There are also huge crowds of people there as well. Why pick on our area all the time.

The smses say a Policeman's gun was snatched away by someone near Sogo. If true, whatever for?

Travelling now. More later.

AirAsia - MAS Flights Of Fancy Cancelled ?

Here is The Star :

Rumours are swirling around that the AirAsia-Malaysia Airlines (MAS) share swap and even the collaboration is off.

(So folks it is not just the Blogs which report rumours. Janganlah marah saya saja ye?)

Some say the announcement will be made by the powers that be to scrap the share swap mid next week while others say it will be within the next one to two weeks.

(MY comments : Saya dengar the announcement will be made next Tuesday. I hope the PM really calls this thing off.)

MAS Employees Union (Maseu) president Alias Aziz said the union “will continue with its fight for the share swap to be dismantled because it favours AirAsia.''  “The share swap must be cancelled. There is conflict of interest,'' Alias said yesterday.

(And here is the clincher by Star) :

For an airline to take off, there are 60 different activities that need to be done and everything has to be done in sync so that the take-off is on time. These includes the technical checks, booking and sales of tickets, fuelling, getting the food prepared and despatched onboard, all the safety aspects, pilots and crew arriving on time and passengers taking their seats before the take-off.   There are about 100 take-offs in a day and imagine the work involved in putting a flight in the air without the support of the staff, this would have been a very difficult task.

(Imagine if the Union workers embark on a work to rule, go slow or things like that - both MAS and especially Air Asia could become ducks sitting on the tarmac in no time.

I dont know how much longer it will take for the PM to realise that the folks he has entrusted with making these type of decisions do not know anything about running a business from a hole in the ground.  There is more crap going on - even in today's papers - with the same dunggus appearing in the pictures and handling hundreds of millions and billions of Ringgit of taxpayers' money.

But what is their real problem? They may not be entirely honest or straight or have the nation's best interests in their heart. This is the real problem. Coupled with their incompetence of course. That is why we keep making one silly bungle after another.

This MAS deal, the land deals down south, the Arab investor fiascos - they seem never ending. I dont know how many more bungles it will take before the PM comes to realise this.)

Surat Pembaca : Mufti's Getting More Power/Status

I received the following comment from a reader

Salam Tuan Syed,

I just need to draw your attention to today's The Star (pg 18) news that the Mufti's post will be upgraded similar to exco members.

I find this to be something off tangent and disturbing. At a time where all these clowns were making a fool of Islam and themselves (and our beloved nation too), the government is according them with more status and power.

Just as I thought when  these people have reached  the bottom of the pit, as usual, there are some morons (Najib included) who dig further for them to tip and fall even deeper.

Firstly,  their "7th century sand dweller" decrees  now cannot be challenged in any court of this land and now the same b*ggers be given more status so that they can be held in high esteeem in today's modern society.

I had trouble to fathom what was the real need for this. The exco is run by the "worldly" people who use logic to govern the states and for some reasons they are also bound by the "afterworld" ideas and decrees without logic with all the heavens, hells and countless "heavenly concubines for them to bonk" stories throw in between as well .. ini apa cerita?? Hal dunia dan hal akhirat sudah kasi campur..

I say "boleh balik rumah dan cermin diri dulu la macha"... you want respect and recognition you got to earn it. Simple as that. There is no easy way like shoving it down our throats just because Najib sees fit in doing so.

Susah la BN nak menang kali ni... they are heading towards PAS' level of intellect which PAS themselves have thrown in their garbage heap 10 years ago. Now BN finds it befitting to re-cycle that thrash...

This disappointed comment is based on the following report in The Star:

  • Mufti’s post to be upgraded

  • BANGI: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom says the mufti's post will be upgraded similar to state exco members and with the same benefits.
          • The upgrading in terms of status, protocol, employment, salary, allowance and benefit enjoyed by exco members is to raise the status so that religious administration is held in high esteem,” he said here yesterday.

I think the Surat Pembaca says it quite unmistakably.

Brader Cabut Ke US?

For the second time within a week I have heard this talk that the Brader will be absconding to the United States of America soon. There is some 'logic' to this rumour - you may dismiss it if you want to.

First here is an sms I received just this morning :

"tadi saya borak2 dgn 1 chap dari *****.  Dia kata d Brother dah planned nak cabut ke US, yang itu kita tau. ..."

This sms is from a friend of mine from the Ministry That Knows These Things.

Then, just last week some friends and I met up with a most colourful character who was until recently (well, say until about a year ago) the bestest of friends with the Brader.  He is just another one in the long and growing list of close friends and supporters who are abandoning the Brader at an accelerating pace.

And today the papers say that another list of eight NGOs have also asked that the Brader step down as a leader. The NGOs include Selangor Anti-Irregularities Federation (GAPS) Selangor Youth Council, Waris Malaya, Warisan Anak Merdeka, Belia Warisan Tanjung Keramat and Ikatan Kebajikan dan Dakwah Selangor.

Not all of these NGOs are UMNO funded conspirators. I think there are also some pro-PAS and pro-Pakatan people  somewhere in there. Whatever lah.  They say the Brader is not fit to be a leader.

This growing number of people who are now abandoning the Brader in large numbers lends some credence to the "Brader akan cabut lari ke US" theory.

The theory is that the Brader can see the writing on the wall that the Pakatan is not going to win the next General Elections.  My feeling is the same - I think the BN will win. But the question is  the majority?  They BN may not regain  the lost  2/3 majority.

It is perhaps less easy to project how the BN will do in the States.

Sabah and Sarawak will still remain bastions of the BN. According to The Oracle it is better for the BN to spend more resources in Sabah and Sarawak now.  Even though the support there is strong, there is no harm securing the peoples support even more.

Perak will still be a slim game due to the large numbers of Chinese voters in the State. Penang may possibly remain with the DAP but with a much reduced majority. There is a new equation developing fast in Penang. Many Hokkiens in Penang are beginning to dislike the Chief Minister. Watch out Guan Eng.

But despite all this, the DAP is expected to come out the biggest winner among the Opposition parties in the next General Elections, maybe even ahead of PAS and far ahead of PKR.  The biggest loser is going to be the PKR.

To digress, another thing I have heard (this is my Blog ok, this is where I can tell you what I heard. You nak baca you bacalah, you tak mahu baca, saya peduli apa?) is that the Brader is going to field his other daughter as the Parliamentary candidate in Permatang Pauh. The first daughter will still fight to retain her existing Parliamentary seat.

The Brader himself will move to either Batu Kawan or Bayan Lepas (YB Zahrain, hang punya tempat tu).  The reason is because the Brader suspects that he may NOT win in Permatang Pauh this time around. The second Liwat Trial has dented the Brader's claims to  virginity among the Permatang Pauh folks.

So the future is looking bleak for the Brader.

And the latest load of dung that is being heaped upon the Brader's  head is this lawsuit he has initiated against his former tennis partner, that Datuk fellow.  The Datuk fellow has made quite a public show of handing over yet another 'sex video' that is fast becoming known as the "Ice Cream Video".

And of all people, it was Malaysiakini - the Opposition news portal - which carried details of what was the likely content of that sex video. It was Malaysiakini which has reported  it as the  "Ice Cream" video.  Apa flavour ah? Strawberry? Vanilla? Chocolate?  It looks like even Malaysiakini is  abandoning  the Brader.

Hence the "Cabut lari ke US" option.

Under entah ape excuse, the Brader will abscond to the US before the general elections. He will then make great speeches from there  (korrrrrrrrrrrrupshen, bbbbbrrrutal supreshen, the opppppresif ISA, kenspiracee by Chicken Little and the usual crap). Or he will say that he has inside information that if BN loses there will be a coup d'etat and he will be assassinated. Or if the BN wins, they will fix the appeal against his acquittal for sodomy and throw him in jail. Whatever lah.

The idea is that this will garner sympathy from his flagging support (more likely sagging as well)  in Malaysia BEFORE the General Elections. So more people will vote for him.

I see some flaws in this theory. Firstly no one else knows what is the date of the General Elections. Secondly everyone already knows this "Cabut lari ke US: theory. It has been exposed.  So it will be 'Oops' again.

Or I may be mistaken.  Remember the Turkish Embassy fiasco. The Brader ran away to the Turkish Embassy, possibly seeking asylum (which means escape from the country lah).

Then as the Liwat Trial was progressing the same rumours surfaced again. But the legal process can be easily abused. The trial was postponed 55 times. Even with a conviction, the appeal could have also been dragged for another 10 years.  So there was no need to run from the Court.

Well, the Northeast United States is nice - classy people live there. The Mid west is Biblical and still red neck. California is where the gays and flakes hang out in numbers. The weather in Southern California is good as well.

Bersih 3.0 Is About Gays And Lesbians?

I did not know that. Till I read this in the newspaper:

  • Datuk S. Ambiga .. is not fit to lead the movement because of her ties with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual (LGBT) community,
  • Nasharudin Mat Isa said PAS should instead take the lead in the Bersih 3.0 demonstration planned for Saturday.
  • “.. homosexuals are not even fit to be dined with. If we follow the fatwa, then yes, Ambiga should definitely not lead the Bersih 2.0 movement or the demonstration,”
  • anti-LGBT forum in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia here yesterday.
  • better for PAS to lead it instead of someone who supports the LGBT cause,” he said.
  • forum was organised by Pertubuhan Muafakat Sejahtera Masyarakat Malaysia (Muafakat)
  • ".. homosexuality as a cancer, disease and “behaviour worse than animals”, they said
  • “I don't care about being called homophobic because I will oppose homosexuality till my dying breath,” said Mahamad Naser.
  • forum followed an anti-LGBT demonstration held in Universiti Putra Malaysia on Saturday.

Folks, so the street demonstration planned for this Saturday has been changed to a gay and lesbian rights march.  Getting a bit confusing here.  It started off as an anti-EC rally. Then the anti- PTPTN demonstrators joined in. Now it is becoming a gay and lesbian rally.  Oh well.

By the way, even post graduate PhD students are getting involved in the anti-PTPTN rally. Here is The Star again :

  • Student charged with obstructing City Hall officer
  • A student allegedly involved in the Occupy Dataran movement has been charged in a magistrate’s court here...  "..pleaded not guilty to deliberately obstructing City Hall enforcement officer from discharging his duties in detaining and escorting Fahmi Reza Zarin, 35."

What? A 35 year old demonstrator?

I thought these were all 20 year old undergrad university students? What was a 35 year old fellow doing at the anti-PTPTN rally? Maybe he was a postgrad PhD student? Maybe.

Last week we received info that more than half the anti-PTPTN demonstrators at Dataran Merdeka were not students. (As though that is any big surprise). Many are unemployed PAS guys who are obviously paid something to demonstrate at the Dataran. Food is provided. Cant figure out where they go for the toilet though. The river is nearby.

Anyway here are some old pictures I picked up on the Net.
