Agama PAS Kedah Boleh Flip Flop

Well it looks like the religion of PAS is very flexible in Kedah as well.  First they imposed the ban but now they have lifted the ban on female stage performers. Here is the news :
  • Kedah lifts ban on female performers
  • The PAS state government has ..lifted ban on women performing stage shows.
  • Kedah Mentri Besar Azizan said organisers ensure all male and female performers were appropriately and decently dressed.
  • state exco member Hamdan Khalib cancelled press conference earlier
Boleh ke macam ni ostat? Kejap tak boleh, kejap lagi boleh pula. Ostat kata nak pertahankan tuntutan agama sampai mati (atau sampai perut jadi buncit, yang mana datang dulu lah). Lepas tu bila kena pressure sikit, tuntutan agama boleh jadi fleksibel pula.

This is not the only problem in Kedah. The bigger problem is the economy in Kedah is stagnating. The PAS gomen has placed a condition that housing developers must set aside 60% of their units for bumiputra buyers only.  In the rest of the country, even the 30% limit is causing a lot of problems because often housing developers cannot find 30% bumiputra buyers to take up their units. However if the bumi units are not sold within six months, they can be sold to non-bumis.

In Kedah, raising the bumi portion to 60% will cause even more problems for housing developers (especially higher end developers) from building new housing projects. As a result of which housing projects have slowed down in Kedah.  If housing developers cannot find 60% bumi buyers in time they will suffer huge losses.

The exception may be one high end condo development in Alor Setar which has been highlighted by some Kedah folks.  Some of the "buyers" of the condo unit are those with heavy cables in Kedah.

Kedah is dying under the PAS. Mat Salleh yachtsmen who used to sail into Langkawi now avoid the island. They call it the PAS Island.  The only bright spark in Kedah is Langkawi. As for mainland Kedah, it is becoming an even worse backwater. Anwar Ibrahim should revisit Baling if he has time.  If the PAS rules Kedah for much longer, he may just find starving people there.

you think 60% bumi quota is bad,go to kelantan, the quota is 100% reserved for kelantanese, other bumi/malays from trengganu/other states not allowed to buy its properties.

if pious Mb know his stuff, he should not encroach into other ppl(culture), courting controversy once ppl impose yr 'values' on others...he quoted to say'..in the past there are exposed armpits and bellies...shows, considered indecent'
