Remember when back from school in the early 70s, my sis will be playing this song on a portable record playing 45rpm. Listening to this song brings back super nostalgic memories...
I remember kayuh basikal coming back from school racing against the hot sun, to return to our home atap zain and listening to the radio. 1969.?? Ty Sir. We came a long way.
Tuan Syed..I had an opportunity to kenal the late Rafaeh Buang secara dekat. A marvellous personality..beautiful, humble and not the gossipy kind.Pandai mengaji Quran..and suara lunak sungguh.Married to Tengku Asmawi, our second cousin sebab arwah mak Tengku Asmawi was married to a Pahang royalty, she was not that sombong Singaporean kind..some Wanita Pekan jer yang tak habis2 dengki kat dia..kesian jugak.
Anyway, oneday on Raya, my ex and I went to her house..we were shocked sebab dia dah kurus sangat..tapi still sibuk melayan kitaorang dan tetamu lain.
We asked and she told us about her health, couldn't sleep etc..then she also said something like this, "yang penting yang satu tu..janji kita cinta pada Allah dan Allah sayang kita"..can't remember exact words.
Recently my sis gave me one of RB's CDs..alahai,balik Kuantan dan bukak nak pasang, dalam takder CD..kena tuntut dengan my sis..hehe
Mat keluang I cannot allow your post thru because you are saying many things which cannot really be verified bro. I hope you take my points here constructively.
If you notice, when it comes to talking about Islam, I rarely allow comments thru which say things that cannot be veirified by you and me today.
I will try to address some of the points you raised.
There is no basis for dividing the knowledge in the Qur’an to many categories. As for the extra-Quranic beliefs that you mention there is absolutely no way of verifying them. It is better that we do not pay too much attention to them.
Every Muslim can and must acquire knowledge of Islam from the Book of Allah. The other non Quranic sources are all debateable. There is no first or second or third type of general knowledge in the Quran.
The arabic word Fiqh is best pronounced 'fake' in English. It is this 'fake' that has destroyed the Muslims. There is so much divergence in the specific details of 'fake' that they may as well have originated from different planets. Fake is definitely NOT from Allah or the Rasul. It has been faked.
For exmaple your quote from Anas just does not make sense. To say that it is from the Rasul is highly speculative. Would the Rasul have said such a thing? Why would he have said such a thing?
These are all very speculative beliefs which you are repeating without having any evidence whatsoever about its authenticity.
Only the Quran is "protected from error". We cannot say the same for all other non Quranic beliefs.
We really have to stop comparing medical doctors with theologians. Doctors base their knowldge on science. Theologians dont base their belief on anything real. They have absolutely no evidence and most of their beliefs are based on falsehood, fabrications and lies. Please be careful.
In Surah Tawbah the word is deen. It is not religion. Deen means a way of life. How a society goes about conducting itself in its everyday life is the society's way of life or deen.
"Not all of the believers should go to fight. Of every section of them, why does not one part alone go forth, that the rest may gain understanding of the deen, and to admonish their people when they return, that perhaps they may take warning" (Qur’an 9:122)
The main point of all of this is that every Muslim must take the foundation of his Islam directly from the Qur’an.
As for shari‘a rulings, it is a minefield in quicksand. Even within the sunnis, the shariah of one mazhab does not comply with the shariah of another mazhab. There is no such thing as a complete written down shariah anywhere in Islamic records. There never was any such thing.
Can such a shariah then be from Allah? Or is it just the writings of people who fashioned themselves as scholars? And it is still a work in progress.
As for mujtahids, one persons mujtahid is another person's deviant. Its as simple as that.
The command to hear and obey (sami'ina wa ata'na) is an obedience to Allah, the Rasul (messenger) and the Risala (message) that he was sent out with (arsal). Rasul = Risala = Arsal.
Diverting obedience away from this to anyone else is shirik.
Salam Tuan Syed; Rasanya tidak kelewatan kiranya saya majukan 07ayat dari Surah An'amm untuk renungan Mat Kluang spt berikut;
