Egyptians stomping on Morsi with gusto
My comments : The Muslim Brotherhood knows jack sh*t about running a country. They stand a better chance by organizing a sembahyang hajat to pray for rain - which is what Nik Aziz does in Kota Bharu. This is what you get when you put village idiots who believe in hocus pocus in charge of running a country.
The unemployment rate in Egypt runs at 13%. This is already a high figure. But this is the Egyptian version of unemployment. Even if they are employed are they doing productive work in permanent jobs? Street vendors selling grilled jagung or fake Egyptian papyrus are also counted as employed. And there are plenty of street vendors in Egypt.
Here is some news about Egypt :
"Even in the final year of Hosni Mubarak, the economic growth in Egypt was at 7%. After the revolution, in 2012 Egypt’s gross domestic product rose less than 2 percent, roughly the same as the rate of population growth. So, in per-capita terms that matter to individual Egyptians, the economy was stagnant. Without growth, there are no new jobs.
Official data put unemployment at almost 13 percent in 2012, representing 3.6 million people out of work, rising to about 25 percent for the age group 15-29. That statistic alone constitutes a socioeconomic time bomb."
Inflation in Egypt is running in excess of 12% per annum. Press reports indicate that inflation is now a moving figure in Egypt. This means the same item in the shops will cost more a week from today or even a day from now.
The World Bank says 25% of Egyptians are below the poverty line. Another 22% can slip below the poverty line if there are sudden economic shocks. That is 47% of the population. I think the sudden economic shock has happened.
If they want to save themselves and their country, the Egyptians need to think outside the box on an urgent basis. Forget about Sharia Law or Islamic economy for the time being.
Put a 20 year moratorium on closing the economy. This means for 20 years, completely open up the economy. Completely break open licensing requirements, open up the manufacturing sector, open up the retail sector, the real estate sector, the banking sector, the hotel sector. Just let anyone come into Egypt and invest with no hindrance. Ease up on silly taxation laws and duty protection. Just open up the economy. What will this do? It will attract investment, create work and jobs and save the Egyptian people first. They will have jobs and food on the table for their children.

Then after 20 years, reassess the situation. Apa susah sangat?
Do you think the Egyptians will do any such thing? No way. Not even if they overthrew the Muslim Brotherhood. Why not? Because they are in the Club of Doom. They are an Islamic country. Islamic countries do not use common sense.
If only common sense can be quantified - then the economists may be able to do a study on the economic impact of using or not using common sense. (You know, the economists famous "on the one hand, then on the other hand..). But it is so hard to quantify common sense. The Islamic countries dont have it. Their economists cant study it. They cannot graph it. So they will continue in deep sh*t.

Syed.
Muslim brotherhood was not born yesterday. It was established in 1928 by Mohamed Badie.Among their leader were Hassan AlBana and Syed Qutub,a well known Islamic Scholar.
Their inluence not only in Egypt but throughout Middle east.
Their main influence are mainly rural area and outside Cairo and Iskandariah.
Thise prostaters are mainly in Cairo and they are being paid to the protest.
They just took over Eghpt lessthan two year. The need time to repait the Egypt economy.
Look at Turkey, when Tayyib Erdogan took over Turkey 10 year ago,Turkist economy was just like Egypt now.The Foreign reserve low,High unemployment, zero negetive growth etc etc etc.
Look at Turkey now after 10 years.Foreign reseved high, unemployment low, high growth,
Give Morsi a chance la.
Anon 10:32 pls dont insult 85 yrs of Ataturk's legacy by saying that the philodophy of Qutub & Al Banna are responsible for Turkey's ecinomy. Erdogan dismantled stifling taxes, cut red tape & bureaucracy & freed up the ecinomy more. Do they hv Islamic banking in Turkey? Secular Turkey has achieved many milestones (economic, social & political) before Erdogan. They hv met economic criteria to qualify for EU membership, including an open economy. Membership in NATO has also helped. Without Ataturk they will be like Egypt. There is nothing wrong with the Turks or Egyptians. The problem was or is their version of religion. Its dead end. Why? Falsehoods. They dont get you anywhere.
Pardon the typos. Using a tablet.
Syed, you are clearly disappointed with the ability of the people currently governing Egypt and you sympathise with the ordinary Egyptians over the economic hardships they face.
Your conclusion that mixing in religion in the administration of a country and the powering up of its economy is a recipe for failure seems to be correct. That may explain why in the old days people who want to dedicate their lives to religion retired to remote caves far away from civilization or in isolated monasteries way out in the boondocks.
Solat Hajat Tok Guru untuk hujan ok..
Solat hajat Tok Guru (lepas pulih sakit jantong) untuk bala kepada Najib (pecah perut)..tak boleh..
solat hajat nak royalti pun ok..
I agree. Without Ataturk, Turkey will be as pathetic as almost all Islamic countries in the world.
Top of the list: Saudi Arabia. How can a country where the Quran was revealed which catapulted the status of women in society be the 2nd worst country for women to be in this present day? Something went wrong somewhere don't you think?
S,
We should support the wave of protests this this time around as it's against the stupid satanic brotherhood.
A.
They all like to fight over God,the islamists think religion is the salvation to all economic and social problems,..ha, eventually, they will realize that they have to fight for jobs, foods on the tables..otherwise another revolution will be on the horizon.
as i said, the most modern and progressive countries in muslim world are secular turkey,malaysia,indonesia,dubai..( discount oil rich countries as they derive their wealth mainly from natural resources oil), in near future, i think secular indonesia will be a big economic player
Anon 12:59 you are exactly right. Religion belongs inside the caves. Maybe thats where it came from. Religous people cannot deal with the real world. That is why they extricate themselves from society and run away to caves, deserts and hilltops. When some confused religionists decide to come out of the desert and take over Egypt, they will force the entire Egypt into a cave. This is the end of Egypt.
SAA
Yeap! Turkey achieved many milestones before Erdogan. The PM is inclined towards islamic ideology but he focus more on economic, not sharia thingy. He was quoted to say that all secular laws are islamic because they are fair and beneficial to the society.
btw, recently, my fren went to turkey for holiday, she said alcohol is not haram there, many turks drink in public, no issue in turkey, dogs are also not taboo there and they are sunni
" Praying 5 times a day is a job oleli mah?"
The Business Insider news site posted some pictures of the protests and demonstration here. It's worth a quick look!
The Middle East has been a playground of competing imperialist interests playing one side against the other, which has resulted in continuous turmoil and no opportunity for development.
Here is a good article about the effects of neo-liberal style privatisation upon the economy of Egype.

The Muslim Brotherhood were backed by the U.S. imperialist CIA against President Nasser who was a secular national-patriot.

Well now the Muslim Brotherhood are in power after the "Arab Spring" which U.S. imperialism supported in the name of "democracy," "freedom," human rights," etc.
Here is an interesting article too, how the imperialists manipulate different sides in their chess game for geo-strategic dominance in the Middle-East.

It's a much more complex game than meets the eye.
Ataturk, apparently has read and understand the Koran, he ban women wearing scarf (not required in the holybook)
in islamic countries like Iran, they apparently has not follow the surah, they force women to wear tudung
IT.Sheiss...Listen,why the islamists so stupid, listen and follow the imperalist's commands?
Why they allow themselves to be manipulated and become pawn in the game??? islamists listen to infidels ah!!
