My Comments:

1.  Indian voters.  Someone sent me this comment about the Indian voters in KKB : *The big question is if Indians had sent a message whether they are happy or not. Did they use the KKB by-election to teach the government as was campaigned by those who came from far and near.

Well you get what you vote for. 

 

2. PN has to break with PAS.

The whole of Malaysia does not need Pas. The PN certainly does not need Pas. The natural state of Pas, the "steady state" or the "keadaan asal" of Pas is that they are a liability. They are not an asset. 

In 2018 Pas won just like every other opposition party because of the 1MDB scandal.

In 2022 Pas won seats because Dr M, TS Muhyiddin, Ismail Sabri did not bring any useful change. Not because Pas has its own strength. It looks like the Malay voters in KKB are aware of this.

Bersatu has to think carefully about their relationship with Pas. Better strike out on your own path.

FAKE, REUTERS SAYS OF NEWS REPORT

KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 — The Reuters news agency today rejected links to a purported news report online that claimed the US has flagged Malaysia as a state sponsoring terrorism.

The global news agency said it did not produce any such report.

“Any claims that Reuters reported that Malaysia is the first country in Southeast Asia to be listed by the United States as a state sponsor of terror are false. Reuters did not report this,” it said in a statement today.

Images of the news report, which appeared to mimic the appearance of a Reuters news report, have been shared online since yesterday.

My Comments :

This blog mistakenly carried that fake "Reuters report" as well. I deleted that blog  post as soon as I found out (just over two hours after I posted it) that it was fake.

I must say that report went viral and I believe many people were misled into believing it (including me). My apologies to Reuters as well.

RUSSIAN OFFENSIVE AGAINST KHARKIV BEGINS

 

Here is a map of Ukraine. (I think the Russians say ookra-yeena). The main cities in Ukraine are Kiev (Kyiv), Kharkiv, Odessa (Adiyessa) and others.  You can see Kharkiv in the north of Ukraine. About 185 km to the west of Kharkiv is Sumy. If Kharkiv falls, Sumy will likely fall too. That will leave Kiev as the final target.

After much awaiting the Russian offensive against Kharkiv has begun. So far there have been no real aggressive Russian thrusts forwards. Their movements have been slow and grinding, Crushing and grinding down everything in their path - but rather slowly. President Putin has said he wants to create a buffer zone facing Kharkiv.  This maybe a 10 km zone around Kharkiv which will be cleared of the Ukrainian military. There are said to be at least 55,000 Russian troops involved in the Kharkiv offensive. This number will likely grow to exceed 100,000 troops or more.

This is the beginning of the summer offensive. Winter and Spring brings the dreaded mud season in the Ukraine steppes. The ground gets terribly muddy and soggy and can stop entire tank columns.

The ground is now drying up and provides a five to six month window for a Summer offensive, before the winter snows come down again.  So lets see what happens. 

This Ukraine war is dragging for far too long. The Russian economy is doing very well with strong economic growth. Oil revenues are strong in Russia, agricultural output is up and Russia is fully sufficient in armaments production. Plus they have China providing back up. The world's no 1 military superpower and the world's no 1 economic superpower are good friends. This may give Russia plenty of confidence even if this war drags longer. 

But the war has gone on for too long. It has to come to an end soon. Hopefully this year. If they take Kharkiv and Odessa it should be game over.

FRIDAY NOTES FROM THE QURAN (10/5/2024) LAA MUBADDILA

This is very short.  Non-Muslims can skip this. But if you wish you can stick with it and gain a better understanding of how it should be instead of what they are telling you. I must say that although this is short it is a tad too technical..

LAA MUBADDILA means 'no change' or 'there is no changing' or 'cannot change'.
It is just a simple phrase that occurs in a few verses in the Quran.
Here are three verses as examples.

Surah 6:115   وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقًۭا وَعَدْلًۭا ۚ لَّا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ  

"The Word of your Lord has been perfected in truth and justice. NONE CAN CHANGE HIS WORDS (LAA MUBADDILA LI KALIMATIHI). And He is the All-Hearing, All- Knowing".

So once the KALIMAH or the words of Allah are written down in the Quran they cannot be changed. They are fixed. Please note the word KALIMAH. Kalimah means 'words'. Let me remind one more time - the word referred here is KALIMAH. KALIMAH in this verse refers to the words (of Allah). They cannot be changed. They are fixed.

 

Sura 30:30   فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًۭا ۚ فِطْرَتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِى فَطَرَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا ۚ لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِخَلْقِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ     

"So set your face towards the upright Order —the natural Order of Allah which He has instilled upon human nature. THERE IS NO CHANGING ALLAH'S CREATION (LAA TABDILA LI KHALQI ALLAH). That is the upright Order but most people do not know".

Please note the following :  THERE IS NO CHANGING ALLAH'S CREATION (LAA TABDILA LI KHALQI ALLAH).

In 30:30 there is no changing Allah's creation. An elephant is an elephant. An elephant cannot suddenly grow wings and fly off into the skies. That is also not the Nature of the elephant. Similarly you cannot magically convert watermelon juice into teh tarik. Watermelon juice and teh tarik are different things entirely.  

 

And here is   Sura 33:62    ُنَّةَ ٱللَّهِ فِى ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ ٱللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًۭا ٦٢  

"That was the SUNNATULLAH (the Sunnah of Allah) for those who have gone before. AND YOU WILL FIND NO CHANGE IN THE SUNNATULLAH (WA LAN TAJIDA LI SUNNATILLAHI TABDILAN)".

Please note the following :  AND YOU WILL FIND NO CHANGE IN THE SUNNATULLAH (WA LAN TAJIDA LI SUNNATILLAHI TABDILAN).

So if there was magic before there should be magic today. But there is no magic today. Meaning there was no magic before. We eat, we sleep, we have families and children, we go to the market. It does not change. It is just doing the same things everyday but hopefully doing them better today than we did yesterday. 

LAA MUBADDILA there is no change.
