This is according to Victor Hanson. Victor Davis Hanson, 73 yrs old holds a PhD from Stanford University. He is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and is well regarded on US foreign policy and foreign affairs.
Yesterday Hanson said that over 1,000 oil tankers have entered the Straits of Hormuz headed INTO the Persian Gulf. Not away from the Persian Gulf. These are oil tankers headed towards Gulf countries Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE to pick up oil.
This tallies with what President Trump has been saying that the Straits of Hormuz have been open for passage for weeks and months. The US Navy is providing escort services both into and out of the Gulf. Mr Trump said that every night 15 - 25 tankers (fully loaded) are being escorted out of the Straits of Hormuz.
So I checked marinetraffic.com (click here) and here is their latest image for the Straits of Hormuz and Persian Gulf traffic. This is 7:15 PM (KL time) Sunday 14th June 2026.
As you can see there is heavy marine traffic towards all the oil nodes beginning from Fujayrah (just outside the Gulf), Oman then inside the Gulf at Sharjah, Jebel Ali Port at Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Bahrain (Khalifah Bin Salman Port), SADMM King Abdul Aziz Port, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Basra in Iraq. You can click on the link. It is real time and those little arrows (each of which represents a ship) keep moving.
The anti-Trump western media does not report these oil tanker movements. As far as the western media is concerned the Straits of Hormuz are fully closed.
And you can zoom into the Iranian coastline where the American naval blockade is in full force. There is nothing moving there.
When there is misinformation there are many opportunities lost.
