GERMAN PARLIAMENT DISSOLVED, POLITICAL CRISIS WORSENS.

Oops looks like its back to February 23, 2025 for the federal elections in Germany. That is less than 60 days away.

President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Friday dissolved Germany's lower house of parliament to pave the way for snap elections on Feb. 23 following the collapse of Chancellor Olaf Scholz's three-way coalition.

Here is a short video:

The German president seemed to be "taking sides" when he warned against violence and foreign interference in the elections. The warning was aimed at the right wing AfD party whose popularity is now surging.

As I said earlier all eyes will be on the right wing AfD (Alternative for Germany) party. They may not have the votes to win the elections outright but we cant say for sure.

There are 736 seats in the German Parliament or Bundestag.
In the 2021 elections:
  • Olaf Quisling Scholze's SPD (Social Democratic Party) won 206 seats
  • FDP (Free Democratic Party) won 92 seats
  • The Greens won 118 seats
  • The AfD secured 10.3% of the vote and won 83 seats.
  • In recent polling the AfD's support has increased to 15-20%.
  • The AfD winning 100 seats or more seems very likely.
  • In such event any coalition minus the AfD will be more weaker than now.
  • If the AfD get 20% of the vote the AfD can perhaps double their seats.
  • They will most likely be part of the government.
  • Kanzler Alicia Weidel?
