Poland, signed a contract worth US$1.83 billion to purchase 32 AW149 helicopters from Leonardo
Leader of the Oppostion Dato Seri Hamzah Zainuddin questioned gomen's decision to lease 28 helicopters at a cost of RM16.6 billion.
Hamzah compared the deal to that done by Poland, which signed a contract worth US$1.83 billion to purchase 32 AW149 helicopters from Leonardo.
"Why is the gomen implementing a policy to lease helicopters at a very high price?
"Poland bought (the helicopters) very cheap but we signed a contract to lease 28 helicopters for RM16.6 billion,' he said in Dewan Rakyat today.
- Hamzah said same company proposed similar contract when he was Home Minister.
- However, Hamzah rejected the proposal after thorough investigation
