Here is an update on the MH370 disappearance. Its about 30 minutes and I think worth your time. Do read my comments, thank you.
My Comments :
In problem solving, solving sudden mysteries, whodunits etc it is useful to observe the Occam's Razor principle. What is Occam's Razor?
The term Occam's Razor comes from a principle of parsimony or simplicity that is often attributed to the 14th-century English philosopher William of Ockham (hence the "Occam"). William of Ockham was a Franciscan friar and a scholar known for his contributions to philosophy and theology.
The "razor" part of the term refers to the idea of "shaving off" unnecessary assumptions or entities. In the context of Occam's Razor, the "razor" is a metaphorical tool that helps to cut away anything that is superfluous when trying to explain something. The principle itself can be summarized as: among competing hypotheses, the one with the fewest assumptions should be selected. In other words, if you have multiple explanations for something, the simplest one—requiring the least number of assumptions—is generally preferred.
Here is my own OutSyed The Box version - just cut the bullshit and get to the point.
In the MH370 "mystery" please cut the crap about Martians and alien spacecraft controlling MH370 (the three blobs of light theory Blob 1, Blob 2, Blob 3), CIA hijacked the flight because of Chinese battery technology (BYD still alive meh, Deepseek now kick ass of US oredi meh), that there were batteries and mangosteens in the cargo hold and the batteries caught fire, the mangosteens got cooked bla bla.)
Lets stick to what we know with absolute certainty. Lets stick to the facts.
- The plane was under an active pilot when it took off from KL and set course for Beijing.
- The plane was under an active pilot when MH370 said good night to KL ATC.
- The plane was under an active pilot when MH370 turned off its transponder 66 seconds after saying goodnight to KL ATC.
- The plane was under an active pilot when just before Vietnam ATC, MH370 made a U turn and changed course back towards the Peninsula.
- The plane was under an active pilot when it changed course again and flew south west over Penang Island.
- The plane was under an active pilot when it changed course and turned north west from Penang towards Phuket / Andaman.
- The plane was under an active pilot when it changed course around the northern tip of Sumatra.
- The plane was under an active pilot when it changed course and flew south off the western side of Sumatra.
Changing the direction of flight on a Boeing 777 is not like in the movie Tora Tora Tora where the Japanese kamikaze pilot simply yanks the joystick (kayu gembira?) in his Nakajima dive bomber straight into the enemy (as per the movie).
In a Boeing 777 each time the plane changed course there were certain actions performed by the active pilot. Google says:
In a Boeing 777, the process of changing course typically involves updating the flight management system (FMS), which controls the flight’s navigation. To change course, pilots don’t manually input new coordinates for each waypoint, but rather modify the flight plan using the FMS interface.
Here’s a general idea of how it works:
Access the FMS: The pilot will interact with the Flight Management and Guidance Computer (FMGC) through the Multi-Function Control and Display Unit (MCDU) or the Flight Management Console (FMC), which is a part of the cockpit interface.
My Comments : So the pilot flying MH370 had to actively undertake all this interfacing with the flight management systems etc to change the direction of flight here and there. That is why he is referred to as the "active pilot". And there were at least FIVE changes in the flight direction of MH370 AFTER that the transponder was turned off (66 seconds after saying goodnight to KL ATC).
So when exactly did the Martians, aliens, anti-Chinese-battery-technology CIA hijackers, blobs of light etc come into the picture?
These are the facts that we know about MH370.
I believe there are people who may know much more about what happened. There always are.
