RULE NO 1: NO NAMES. IT IS THE TIMES WE LIVE IN.
This is adapted from someone else's writing.
While the fellow is on an official visit to Pasta, Encilada and Ronaldo to attend summits, his own Party of Injustice is in rapid collapse at home.
- News is emerging from chat groups and pundits
- About mass resignations in more than 200 branches.
- Some branches just don’t exist anymore.
The party vote for deputy president, where the daughter challenged incumbent Okonomi who was minister until he resigned a few weeks ago showed that some 16,000 members out of 30,000 eligible, did not even bother to vote in this nationally publicized poll. This just indicates the level of apathy within the party itself, over such an important event for the future of the party.
(OSTB: So it was a minority vote. Only 14,000 voted in the party polls. The majority or 16,000 did not vote. The party is quite dead. And out of the 14,000 who voted, the daughter only got 9800 votes. About 1/3 of eligible party delegates voted for the daughter. Hello Missy, its time to pack up and leave. Autumn is becoming visible already. Pretty soon winter will be here, with its icy cold and its loneliness).
- The party has gradually been losing electoral support since 2013.
- In 2014 general election they received 20.39% of aggregate votes
- In 2022 the party only received 15.72% of the vote.
- Before the general election their coalition not expected to form govt.
- However, the fellow was 'selected'. (OSTB: It was a gross mistake).
This represented the final act in 27 years of struggle as a "reformer", who would dramatically change the country. Many even heralded the event as a new ‘Merdeka’ or independence for the nation. (OSTB: It was a gross mistake. There are many delusional people in the country).
- However, very quickly people became dismayed when the fellow appointed the other fella who was facing criminal charges at the time as his deputy.
- Then, many political cronies were given seats on the boards of government linked companies (GLCs) going against what they promised, leading to much dismay in the party.
- His supporters would say that he had little choice because he needed to ‘give in’ due to being in coalition with the kleptos.
- The next shock to the party supporters was the reduction in sentence of Bossku's prison term from 12 years to 6 years
- and a reduction of his fine from RM 210 million to RM 55 million.
- The party had campaigned very heavily against corruption but suddenly in an 180 degree turn, the ‘chief kleptocrat’ was being given favouritism.
- There was a clear message here.
- Corruption is OK for the elite.
Over the last couple of months there has been a distinct fall in public trust for the fellow. Its not just the failure to end institutional race favouritism, inaction over the rising cost of living, failure to stem corruption, the rising cost of goods, decline of freedom of speech, failure to initiate law reform and repeal draconian legislation, and U-turns in policy. It’s the nature and style of leadership that is putting people off.
This is not what most party members had worked hard for over the many years.
(OSTB: The gross delusions of so many 'supporters' have been burst. At last they are seeing what I and so many others have been saying for the past 30 years - the fellow is a fraud par excellence).
The once charismatic leader who delivered inspiring speeches that made him a political hero has just disappeared and been replaced with arrogance, detachment, and empathy lacking approaches to government. His hypocrisy can’t be hidden as its not just about one or two cases anymore. His hypocrisy is seen almost across the board. Those who see him speak in person just see a tired and defeated clown.
The resignations of Okonomi as minister and Nikky something, after both lost their party positions at the party elections, sent a clear message that all was not well in the cabinet. Okonomi's revelations since his cabinet departure confirm this. Both the fellow and his minister asked them publicly to reconsider their resignations, a sign they had made a strategic mistake in allowing both to become free agents not bound by cabinet solidarity.
Today, there are no reforms, no economic miracles, no renaissance in society, and greater racial division than ever. There is never ending news of political cronies receiving court discharges without acquittals (DNAA), putting the Attorney General and judiciary under suspicion of political influence. There is a mediocre cabinet, with no rising and aspiring stars that will carry on the philosophy of reform further after his time as leader. There is a total leadership vacuum.
Even his daughter, once deemed the ‘princess of reformasi’ is just another source of ridicule for the people. While the party is falling apart, she is off talking about native rights in Sarawak, failing to address critical party issues. The fellow, the leader of ‘reformasi’, once leading massive street protests against the government is now getting protests in the streets asking him to resign.
Most party members now see the party has abandoned all the reforms it once championed. Most of the ‘Otai” or old timers have become quiet, except for a few loyalists who are finding it much harder to make apologies for him. There are too many academics, commentators and professionals who have just walked away from the party.
The party sec-gen is now regularly making public statements denying the party is not losing members, renascent of the Iraqi information minister Bagdad Bob, who kept denying Bagdad was being bombed during the Iraqi war. This indicates a party in quick decline. (OSTB: A DECAYING AND DYING PARTY / PARTI HANCUR LEBUR).
The tipping point appears to be the new Sales and Service Tax (SST) increases and the his failure to extend the term of the Chief Justice. Later this month, his application for immunity in the case against him for sexual assault will be heard. Should he win the appeal for immunity, many will say he is trying to hide the truth.
Should he lose the appeal, the affidavits will reveal his alleged sexual misconduct, which may make his position untenable. The victim of the sexual molest was recently acquitted for dealing in narcotics, leading to the question of not just who planted the drugs, but who gave the order to do so?
His brand image is so badly tarnished with citizens complaining on the king’s Facebook page about him. The wave of party members resignations appears to have a ‘domino’ effect, where the party is being drastically weakened to the point there will be few people out in the hustings to help in the next general election. No one expects the party to be able to improve upon its 31 seats in the next general election. Public statements by the daughter that they will win 13 seats in the coming Sabah state election just have a hollow ring.
Its was almost certain that the fellow would complete a full term in office, having the opportunity during his tenure to win the hearts and minds of voters. This is not the case anymore. Indian, Chinese, and professional Malay voters are deserting him very quickly. There is a great possibility the party will be decimated in the next general election in just two years time. The party will become little more than a memory of a troublesome past.
CONCLUSION:
Ever since that fellow appeared on the scene he has been causing havoc. Here is a picture of some "riots" from 1974. Can you see the words 'Imperialis'? idi Amin? (What ???)
This was the currency in the 1970s. Plus the bell-bottoms. Do you know why 'Imperialis'? idi Amin'? Because at that time he had not heard about Shaking Spear yet. And I seriously doubt he has read Shaking Spear even once.
This was when he claimed that people had died of starvation there. That was a lie. No one died of starvation. People were eating nasi putih and kicap. Until today there are people who still eat nasi putih and kicap. It is a sort of legacy diet. The late Prof Ungku Aziz spoke about this.
But twisting things and telling lies appears to be his inherent nature. The natural predisposition. A liar first - until proven otherwise.
You can fool some people all the time, you can fool all the people some of the time but you cannot fool all the people all of the time.
Unfortunately You can fool some people all the time has lasted for quite a while - from 1974. 51 years ago. But it is coming to an end.
This one should not be awarded a Tun-ship either. It will make a mockery of the Tun-ship. I believe his story is not over. My view is that he will return to resort living.
