CHIEF OF DEFENCE FORCES ITS TIME YOU GET OUT OF THE UNIVERSITY BUSINESS

This time the cadet was not killed at the Defence University (UPNM). In this latest case reported by NST here  a psycho cadet only broke the backbone and rib of a first year student. Here is the NST:

  • KUALA LUMPUR: Another bullying case at UPNM in Sungai Besi
  • 19-year-old student warded in hospital for two fractures
  • serious injuries including fractured rib and fractured spine
  • after assault by a senior student at the campus on Oct 21.
  • City police chief said police report lodged on Friday
  • assault took place at 10.45pm
  • investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for grievous hurt
  • concerns about safety and discipline in UPNM
  • fractures to ribs, spine after being stomped on by third-year cadet

OSTB : 10:45 pm?? After office hours, after classes.  Wah !! STOMPED ON? Was the psycho cadet wearing army boots at the time?

Good for parade ground Army. Good for STOMPING on people's backs.

My Comments :

I received this news from a friend of mine who is a professor of orthopaedic surgery (bone surgery). His comments were :

'You know how difficult it is to fracture a spine in a young person. Most of the time, it has to be a fall from a height or a motorcycle accident. This incident must have been very violent. Stomping on the victim’s back when he was prone (lying on his tummy).

But fracture the spine was what happened. The psycho cadet stomped on the students back until his spine broke.  I have a dumb question : Can the boy walk? Is he paralysed?

The UPNM is already famous for having SIX of its students sentenced to death for murder.

On July 23, 2024, the Court of Appeal sentenced six former students of Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) to death for the murder of Navy Cadet Officer Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain:

Charge: The court found that the defendants took turns pressing a steam iron on Zulfarhan's entire body, including his private parts

They burnt Zulfarhan with an iron until he died. Now the SIX will hang until death. That will be seven dead UPNM cadets in total.

Now another UPNM cadet has STOMPED and broke the backbone of a junior student. I am wondering - was the iron rosak on that day? If there was a hot iron available maybe it would have been used on this new victim as well?

General Tan Sri Mohammad Ab Rahman is the current Chief of Defence Forces (Malaysia). He was appointed on September 6, 2023

Ok this guy above is our Chief of Defence Forces. All shiny and dressed up. The general does sit on the Lembaga Pengarah of the University.

The military is supposed to produce cadets who will become "officers and gentlemen". Military officers who are ready to sacrifice their lives defending our people against enemies.

The military is not supposed to kill its junior cadets. Or break their ribs and backbones and maybe disable them for life.

There is something seriously wrong with your system. In the case of the murder at UPNM, there were more than SIX cadets involved.

In this latest case I find it hard to believe that there were no other witnesses or participants. The full story is not being reported.

The UPNM cannot guarantee the backgrounds of its cadets. Whether they come from broken homes, challenged backgrounds or if they suffered abuse when they were young - which may cause them to behave strangely, like bullying and torturing those weaker than them. But no matter what was their background, it is more important that the university (and the military) teach the cadets good moral values, kindness, courage and how to be responsible cadets and officers. The university has to teach the cadets to overcome their obviously troubled backgrounds.

Six UPNM cadets have already been sentenced to death for murdering one of their own. Now there is another case of grievous bodily harm inflicted by another cadet.

Maybe the Army generals are just not suited to running an institution of higher learning. Just hand over the university to the civilian authorities like the Ministry of Education.
