After a grueling confirmation hearing Lt Colonel Tulsi Gabbard, 44 yrs old, has been sworn in as the Director of National Intelligence. It used to be called the Office of National Intelligence but it is now a full fledged department (Ministry) and Tulsi Gabbard has Cabinet rank.
Here is a must watch video (9 minutes). President Trump prioritises Islamic terrorism but in her acceptance speech Tulsi Gabbard 'diplomatically' does not mention any one particular nasty group of people.

Ms Gabbard is a Hindu by faith. She is a member of the International Society of Krishna Consciousness or ISKCON and she practices 'Gaudiya Vaishnavism' in the Hindu faith. (Dont know what that means but Hindu folks may know better).
Tulsi Gabbard was born in American Samoa. Her mother (of European parentage) converted to Hinduism and raised her children as Hindus. Her father is of Samoan ethnicity from the Pacific islands and is a sitting Senator from the State of Hawaii since 2006.
