"KENAPA MAT BODOH SEMUA MELAYU?" - SOALAN OLEH SAM THE CEO

Yang berikut ini adalah sedikit ulasan oleh sahabat saya Sam The CEO mengenai berita berikut. Sila baca komen saya sendiri selepas ini.

Ulasan oleh Sam The CEO:

Mat Bodos

  • I've asked this question before.
  • Why are only Malay boys involved in this Mat Rempit phenomena?
  • You don't see budak2 Cina or India doing this stupid shit.
  • Why do these children from different races differ.
  • Why do all these children around the same age group differ?
  • They are mostly B40, which means they all attend sekolah kerajaan.

Like any scientist I look at variables:

1. Malay kids are surrounded by a Malay culture
2. Malay culture and even public education are heavy in Islamic practice and ideology

  • I am not concluding anything.
  • I am just pointing out the diverging points.
  • The follow up question is always to ask "WHY"?

My Comments :

1. First of all I want to blame Dr Mahathir. He came up with the 75 Million Malaysian Population policy (to create a big enough market for his Proton cars, that is what he said). What he really meant was 75 Million MALAY population. Maybe Dr Mahathir figured that this way, Melayu takkan hilang di dunia. Forgetting that there are 275 million Indonesians and 105 million Filipinos who are all Malays. Dr Mahathir also forgot 'Melayu takkan hilang di dunia selagi ada mamak kutty untuk membelanya'. The Malays have always been encouraged (or never discouraged from) having large families. It is common to see a Malay family with four children or more.

2. Then in the 1980s Dr Mahathir began building his famous low cost houses - 'dua bilik, satu jamban dengan harga RM25,000 sahaja'.  Then he squeezed Malay families with two parents and four kids or more into a two room pigeon hole. And the result? Dr Mahathir created Malay ghettos and urban Malay slum dwellers. This is what has happened. In such pigeon hole (or prison) environments the girls sometimes become victims of sumbang mahram while the boys hang out with their friends doing the lepak thing (drugs, mat rempit, jobless, hang out late at night). This is what Dr Mahathir has created. Congratulations.

3.  Referring what Sam The CEO has said, how come there are no Mat Rempits among the Indians and Chinese. There are no Mutu Rempit or Wong Rempit. What is wrong with the Malays? Too many problems in this country are often identifiable by race and religion. And too often the race is Malay and the religion is Islam.

But throughout the world the 'muslims' are mired in all sorts of problems. Usually the 'muslims' just cannot keep up with the rest of the world.

The rest of the world like the Koreans, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Russians, Germans, Italians, Canadians seems to be marching forward using "lockstep" methods.  Lockstep means their systems of government and administration achieve the same things.

From China to Canada their schools teach useful subjects to a high degree of success. They do not waste precious time teaching religion in schools. They allow men and women equal access and equal treatment before the law. They take religion out of politics and out of government.

The 'muslims' have extremely serious problems doing any or all of these things.

But that does not answer the question why the Malays in Malaysia have more of these social and other problems than the non Malays?

The really big question that needs to be asked is "is the way the religion is practised in Malaysia help or hinder the Malays from progressing?"

I will give you a real example. There is a large multi-billion Ringgit local business (run by a Muslim family) which allows its Muslim staff 15 minute breaks for prayer (usually zohor, asar and perhaps maghrib). But they must punch-out their time cards. Meaning when they go for prayer break they do not get paid. Their salaries are deducted. This means everyday they lose half hour or 45 minutes of their salaries. So they end up earning less salaries.

But what is even more obvious is that everyday these muslim workers lose 30 minutes or 45 minutes of productivity when compared to their competitors among the non-Malays, among the Vietnamese, Singaporeans, Japanese, Germans etc.

Lets take a situation of 1,000 muslim workers losing 30 minutes of production each day (for their prayer break), which is already a loss of 500 working hours or man hours of production EVERY DAY compared to Vietnam, Germany or the non-Muslims. What about ONE MILLION muslim workers losing 30 minutes of production each day? That is the GDP of Lazy-stan already. You are going to be poorer.

4. What were the Police thinking by forcing those 32 Malay boys to go and pray in the masjid? Is that a proven method of making people obey the traffic rules and laws? In the early 2000s there was a mamak Policewoman who was the Head of the Traffic Police Kuala Lumpur. She was very effective because she simply confiscated the motorbikes of the Mat Rempits. The Mat Rempits could go home but their motorbikes were confiscated.

Then the corrupted Pemuda fellow (another mamak) intervened and they transferred the mamak Policewoman somewhere else.  The Mat Rempits returned.

There are more than enough dumb people in this world. In Malaysia we have an overdose of dumb people. We need to be more clever in finding solutions. And of course we need to be even more clever so that we do not create problems.

75 juta penduduk, dua bilik satu jamban . . .
