Hours after the Israeli attack on the Hamas HQ in Qatar more information is coming out from Qatar. Reports say that multiple Israeli jets and possibly recon drones were involved in the attack. Some reports suggest that up to 15 Israeli aircraft were involved.
Observers are pointing out that tiny Qatar is covered by two advanced air defense systems - one belonging to the Qatar military and the other being the US military base at Udeid. Doha is also home to the very busy Doha International Airport which has a civilian radar system. None of them detected the Israeli aircraft - which would certainly be unscheduled bogeys.
In Air Force terminology, a "bogey" refers to an unidentified aircraft or a radar target that may be hostile. The term is used to describe a contact that needs immediate attention, surveillance, and identification, especially when detected on radar.
We can understand why the American military base at al Udeid would have remained quiet - because the Americans knew the Israelis were coming.
But why was there silence from Qatar radar and air defenses? Obviously for the same reasons - Qatar was in cahoots with the Americans and the Israelis. Qatar knew the Israelis were coming.
The Americans must have threatened the Qataris with something drastic - like regime change or the US will pull out their military presence at al Udeid - if Qatar did not help get rid of the Hamas leaders. Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu are obviously running out of patience and time.
The entire leadership of Hamas in Doha has been wiped out. None of the Hamas leaders who were inside that building are answering their phones or have appeared anywhere else - not even in hospitals if they were injured.
It is also interesting that the Hamas leaders were all attending a meeting inside that building at the request of Qatar. A few days back the US had delivered their latest ceasefire proposal to Qatar to be forwarded to Hamas. Which Qatar promptly did and requested that Hamas leaders meet urgently to discuss the proposal. So Qatar knew exactly when and who would be present at that meeting. This information was then "acquired" by Israel and followed up by the attack.
Qatar has sold out the Hamas - to save their own necks. This will be typical Arab Middle East. To save their own necks they will sell out their own mothers.
